I moved down from Edinburgh to Manchester with my job in 2000 and was given a rented apartment in Slate Wharf Castlefield where I stayed for a couple of years. My office was on nearby Portland Street and I used to nip into The Ox, Barca and Jackson’s Wharf for a pint on the way home. I loved my time in Manchester, the fantastic industrial buildings, canals, railway etc. The people were great and there was a real buzz of vibrant energy about the place. For the first time in my life I took notice of fashion and loved heading up Deansgate on a Saturday to get some clothes then hitting the pubs. After a few months in Manchester on a trip home everyone was shocked as I’d turned into some unrecognisable Manc fashionista with clothes and trendy haircut. Happy Days - gonna head back down for a visit as soon as this lockdown ends.
Nice little wander through the streets of Manchester. I was familiar with the area in the first part but I’ve never ventured that far into Castlefield.
Ive been to castlefield many times when i visit manchester, the science and industry museum is a great place to visit too,the oldest railway station in the world is there,a very good video😄👍❤
I prefer Manchester over London, though I live in London, London is too big, which makes walking and touring so difficult, taking the underground through various platforms makes life even more difficult, you can only explore London one place at a time and it is so expensive, also Manchester may have lower wages, but the living costs are way cheaper, which means you have more in your pocket, London is too expensive and the higher wages don’t stretch far
It showed you basically the very edge if the original part of Manchester that is basically a building site or the scrubbed up edge of what was an I dust rail waste ground and we're the original Ro an fort wad. Didn't take you into the centre though just skirted the edges of a part of the centre. It's actually the most historic part Bei g where the original Roman settlement of Mancuminium (hope that's correct latin), Man's chest shaped hill, or along that meaning. Lot, lot mire to see. It's basically a building site there but 5 mins walk from the real start of the centre.

I explored oxford street & piccadilly circus & leicester sq all in one day on foot.
Вы интересно написали о промышленности Манчестера. Вы верите, что перечисоенные вами предприятия существуют в Манчестере?
Нет они все были закрыты, после окончания промышленной революции. Спасибо что смотрите

The park where you started is I believe where there is a mass grave...Cholera or something from Victorian times...
I guess so. Thank you for watching ;-)
Not aware of that, could be so, or maybe you are referring to Angel Meadow on the other side of the city centre.
