I love how this shows, that each side hates the other, but loves their fellow men, and that there’s no good side or bad side, it just whoever kills the other and surrenders.
A great story, macobs lust for tan suffering and a delicate mission have left him in quite an issue. I didn't know it was possible to show this much emotion with plastic soldiers.
That's what I love about Mike's work. He makes it possible to care about something as simple as plastic soldiers.
I love how the names in this have meaning to them:
Macabre: Deathly disturbing
Crisp:Burnt
Stalworth: Loyal
Moss: Green Shit

His name is Moss because Moss make room for other plants and what not to grow and as you can see from ep 1 he likes training soldiers/helping plants grow

The torture scene was very good...even though this is not real it still makes you realize both sides are both just there to kill eachother but care about their men.

I love how the camera angle of the newsreel at the end hides the burned legs of Maj. Windsor
I never noticed it but now you mention it they may not have wanted any green children or civilians seeing the legs burnt because that would suggest torture which is only applied when they don’t get answers and green children wouldn’t wanna see it cuz well….pretty obvious inappropriate content for the green children to be traumatised
I like how moss is the only one that got hit by the grenade
It’s more funny how instead of trying to take cover, he just sat there and said grenade
I hope he survives and the decision to leave him behind bites the Greens in the rear down the line

This series is honestly awesome. I can't wait until episode 3 comes out, and I hope that Greyland (Grey Nation) or Blussia (Blue Nation) gets introduced. I'd love to see what their armies are like and where there standpoint is in the war.

Greyland- Nazis. Make the other two look like clean and shiny kids in comparison, with y'know... no no german things.
Blussia- bussian rias i mean russian bias, probably the best one outta all of them.
Honestly, it'd be SO deserved of the Greys to be all nihlistic, hardcore and no prisoners.
We didn’t get that part, but at least we got a prequel to the first episode, the Saber Tooth.

I think the Tans will take Moss to their base and safe him and he will come back as a half-tan half-green cyborg and wants to kill the Greens, because they left him injured and alone at tge enemys. That would be pretty cool!

As a fellow stop-motion artist (been doing it for exactly 10 years now) I want you to know, I completely understand the wait/delay/silence. It's one thing to keep posting to appease fans - but this can often become a source of procrastination from the actual project itself.
I'm perfectly fine with relative radio silence. That way, when the film does eventually come out, it'll be a pleasant surprise for all! :)
Keep up the great work. I only recently found out about your series, and immediately binged the entire thing once I had the time. Very violent and with many curses - but a great depiction of war from the warped perspective of tiny plastic figures destined for only one thing - a life of fighting.
Your series got me to pick up my army men again, and for that I thank you. Can't wait for the next in the series! :)

@@Caelywaley Apparently Tuscan is back at Guerrilla base kinda overseeing “Lucifer” the massive railway gun, on Michael Akkermans personal channel before the Sabretooth came out he made an announcement where he went over some of the stuff that had been happening with him and why he had to put Lucifer on hold, in it he shows a little bit of completed footage for Lucifer and I’m pretty sure we see Tuscan there.

Well that took a lot of unexpected turns! Good job! Nice, unpredictable, showed the reality of the annoyance of officers not on the field giving orders and having unrealistic expectations.

Wow really interest Michael you made the prisoner operation part 1-2 so god-darn good 1. it's reminds of the departed 2006, the hateful 8, reservoir dogs, the last jedi, saving Pvt. Ryan, and aliens, good movies I've seen 2. the last part of Macabre and Dartmouth meeting again, it was hell of a perfect argument I've seen and even though Macabre was really out of the line for his breakthrough point over what he been through, I can't blame him for Dartmouth's selfish act as unbelievably he doesn't care about what the Capt. thinks even if it is true that Dartmouth probably set them up for answers even if it is for nothing as they would've been crew expendable before being blamed and mocked for what happen just like how Weyland Yutani sets Ripley up over her questionable judgement as common sense and aliens as bio-weapons; either way it's Dartmouth's fault for everything that the Captain and his company been through. 3. for music, I honestly prefer them from day of the dead 1985, Rambo 1-2, and the hateful 8. 4. for the ending credits of part 1, I prefer if tomorrow comes songs from day of the dead as part 2 I prefer the world inside your eyes instead. 5. you would've add more characters like more greens soldiers including one ego-maniac Major, 2 reasonable Sergeants, one crazy Cpl. and one adjutant who questions the Major for his ideas, & more tan soldiers including one Capt., and 2 sergeants like the ones from the sabretooth as you would've add more voice actors like the ones from the sabretooth. but ok it's your choice that's all good movie you made Michael.

Some of the green soldiers are drafted i think so they also ask for sycopaths and some insane people thats why both sides have bad and good guys for example sgt stalwart isnt as bloodthirsty as the others and some tans murder surrendering troops in the saber tooth so yeah both of them have bad and good people

Captain Macabre and some of the other poses are copies of Airfix's British Paratroopers. They are pretty common to see in toy stores around the world.

They are not real Airfix figures, just copies of them, they were spray painted green to give a different shade of green
