This is some context for the Americans or any other person outside the UK that doesn’t understand the song, (Rumours by ivd) so a year ago Vanessa, (also known as IVD, the one who’s rapping this song), got into a really big fight with this other UK influenced called miss r fabulous (her names Renee), the drama escalated and Renee (who was her old friend) ended up exposing Vanessa for having STD’s and sleeping with 4 guys in one week, you could probably still find the videos of them going at each other on live if you search it up, the whole situation was a complete mess and Renee got a load of backlash for exposing Vanessa unprovoked and even leaked receipts to prove it, Renee is the UK equivalent to ur bhad bhabie/Malu, SHES hella problematic and that night she drove all the way to east London to fight Vanessa but ended up getting into a fight with her friend Abigail instead, that led to Vanessa and Abigail making a diss track called ‘the situation’ and another song, spare me, (the one that goes, ‘have you ever been snaked by a friend and just for the clout they’ll do it again’, they were both throwing shots at renee. Eventually Abigail and ivd broke up and Vanessa announced she was going solo, so she came out with this song to basically debunk all the ‘rumours’ from that entire drama in 2019, that’s the context of all of this x
