It needed a few cheap addons from amazon and aliexpress, but after just a couple hundred bucks to take care of a few cheap-out things on the base model, I'm super happy!

The main reason that I went for Nissan was their dealers were nice and I could see and appreciate their effort to get my business, whereas the Toyota dealers were so stuck up didn't even care you buy or not. They were like king looking down at you.
One issue. Nissan made the decision to delete the universal garage door opener included in other makes base models. Not sure why they leave out something you use almost every day yet include other features you might use once or twice per year. I purchased a 2023 Rogue and after getting home I told my wife I was going out to program our garage doors into it. After a long search, a search of owners manual I call the dealership and I’m told I’m overlooking it. 30-45 minutes later they call back to tell me Nissan stopped putting those in their vehicles. I have since learned you can order another mirror With garage opener installed at dealership for roughly 300.00 but you shouldn’t have to take that step

Just got an offer from car max to buy it for 29k. Resale value would be much less on a Nissan (about 22k for a comparable model with the same miles). I average 35 mpg on the highway going 80 and I feel super safe!
2019 prices don't exist anymore. The wait time on a Rav4 Prime hybrid is currently at 16 months. Markups on available hybrids are a joke, at least as of the time I was shopping a few months back. The reason your resale is so high is because of Toyota's huge markups because of lack of production, whereas Nissan has had no problem producing a high number of Rogues and so new Rogue prices are much lower than new Rav4 prices, which affects used prices. That said, the Rogue's estimated 5 year resale value is 55%, which is above industry average and considered good.

Raiti, because of your review/test, we chose the Rogue SL (2023). The car is spacy, peppy and economical. The fact that it has 3 cylinders, doesn't affect the performance. Our colour is Scarlett red! We bought the car at Abbotsford Nissan in BC, Canada. Again, thanks for your detailed input!
The Nissan Rogue A very good compact SUV in a class of very good compact SUVs The Rav4 will be the best-selling compact SUV for years to come. I'd get a Rogue over the CRV. I'd put the Tucson & Sportage & Rav4 (Hybrids) at the top of the class
The Nissan CVT stops me from buying any Nissan today. It’s unfortunate because Nissan makes some pretty good looking vehicles. Just that CVT is probably the biggest piece of trash transmission in any vehicle today and will probably explode at 60-70k miles
I really loved sitting in this one and it’s a hard call between rogue and rav4. Both are great but the rogue in person looks like a massive pathfinder and love the pocket under the gears, moon roof and better infotainment then the RAV4. My wife loved the RAV4 more but she needs to sit in a rogue.
I have never understood the rear wiper zonks before. It doesn’t bother me in the slightest about the rear wiper not being tucked in. I understand the thinking but it just doesn’t bother me.
I went Rogue and happy with it. At the time I was looking for a vehicle Nissan was the only one willing to deal. Happy with the deal I got on a lease which about 100+ less than anybody else's lease numbers, including Kia, Jeep, Toyota, Hyundai, few others. I got the SV, they actually marked it down from 32 to 30, everybody else was stuck on dealer markups. Still fairly loaded, quiet on the road, power is ample especially when the turbo kicks in. Mileage is decent, has good room inside even for the passengers. Liking it.
My wife and I test drove one last year. Extremely slow, underpowered boat. The 2015 Nissan rogue is fantastic! Buy a used 2015 Nissan rogue if you’re into Nissan Rogues. 🤙
I've had my 2022 Rogue SV (best value) for 1.5 yrs and I like the 32mpg average, nice quiet ride, engine is smooth, just gets raspy loud if you have to put your foot down but that's rare. The AC and heat are a little problematic, as the temp coming out on the driver's side is 2-3 degrees warmer than on the passenger side, but it's a minor issue for an otherwise really good vehicle.

when travelling to Kansas City this weekend, had this for a rental with 3-cylinder turbo, this car can pull however due to lack of a better transmission, the car doesn't accelerate as fast as it should... yet it still manage to hit 200km/h on a straight line which is impressive. the engine doesn't give any loud noises when you were inside the cabin..., fuel economy is superb, fuel tank is around 385-411 miles per fill up. However, I guess due to how the car was designed, when doing highway speed around 85-90 mph, the car tends to shake or easily swayed by the wind. I came across Buick Enclave as well and drove that, and when doing high speed run on a highway, it shakes. As much as I like Japanese suv, German still takes the cake for me, they eat 200km/h like nothing, stable from ground up...
@@crownz05but in this case it's about car rental and my personal experience, cost would definitely be more to own a German but if you can't bear the cost of owning and maintaining it, you can at least rent or lease it and enjoy it while it lasts...
The reason you buy a RAV4 over this is because of the perceived reliability but I think people that are reviewing these kind of really like this vehicle the only problem I'm thinking I've seen in several reviews like actual people that have bought the vehicle is that the vehicle is unstable when it's on bumpy roads

I prefer the RAV4 but this one is a great option to consider.
Good call Omar
RAV4 is good but Toyota greedy dealers are killing the Toyota brand with markups and inventory is another big factor, at Toyota customer can't make color choice for interior and exterior, whatever come the buyers has no choice but to take it.
@@NishantSingh-z2g
Yeah that part sucks….I got lucky & found an affordable Toyota dealership lol but it was 2 hours away from where I live
Nissan is amazing because they are actually hungry, I feel like besides maybe Mitsubishi, Nissan is the most desperate to sell cars but still deserving.@@NishantSingh-z2g
Nissan is better then Toyota
I think the fenders look fine with the flat black. Having the contrast adds interest to the overall look of the car.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one.
I went from a base LRSM Polestar 2 to A Rogue Platinum and I'm very happy. It's a great vehicle for it's segment. It does everything well and feels upscale.
3cylinder is what brought me to your review
Y’all gotta stop crying about CVTs please !!!!! Honda has and them and they work just fine
Honda CVT is much better., but I wouldn't buy anything with one..
I’m good with the flat black because it will protect the paint
That is a very good point!
Alright Joe let’s see if this Rouge is the winner
Let’s do this
Nope, I choose the CRV sport hybrid touring with 205 hp in that dark metallic red.
The 3 Cyl turbo charge so far has been a tremendous engine. Fast AND economic while being very smooth.
You will pay premium or above MSRP for Rav 4. This is a good alternative.
That is a very good point to make Jerry!
Yep, those 90 degree opening doors will ensure my kids will customize your car if you park next to me.
Dwl
The Nissan Rogue
A very good compact SUV in a class of very good compact SUVs
The Rav4 will be the best-selling compact SUV for years to come.
I'd get a Rogue over the CRV. I'd put the Tucson & Sportage & Rav4 (Hybrids) at the top of the class
Thanks for giving your honest opinion on this Rogue!
Hey Raiti! Love the videos, huge fan. Any updates on the Equinox EV?
Thanks for being super supportive!
PS no word yet but stay tuned
One day. I'm going to buy a 23' Nissan Rogue.
Sound like a plan!
The Nissan CVT stops me from buying any Nissan today. It’s unfortunate because Nissan makes some pretty good looking vehicles. Just that CVT is probably the biggest piece of trash transmission in any vehicle today and will probably explode at 60-70k miles
We have a Rogue and love it. Engine is great
I agree 💯
This is my 4th Rogue it is fast really comfortable . I did not like the imitation leather. The top of the line has real leather it is really nice.
I've only ever driven Toyotas but bought my 1st Rogue today
$39k is pricey! 😬
Everything is pricey nowadays
I really loved sitting in this one and it’s a hard call between rogue and rav4. Both are great but the rogue in person looks like a massive pathfinder and love the pocket under the gears, moon roof and better infotainment then the RAV4. My wife loved the RAV4 more but she needs to sit in a rogue.
I appreciate you sharing that experience between the different vehicles.
I have never understood the rear wiper zonks before. It doesn’t bother me in the slightest about the rear wiper not being tucked in. I understand the thinking but it just doesn’t bother me.
I guess to each their own.
if it was a regular tranmission..might be interested./.....but the rubber band cvt..never in my life
Still driving a 2013 Rogue not a single problem with the CVT. They have their limitations but for an ordinary car it works great for me.
Yess, more Nissan reviews 😁❤️
YES ! ! ! ! Ran 4's are small & cramped inside - yucky. thanks my Italian Bro
You are so very welcome my pisan
3 cyl ... CVT ... FWD ... still $40K 😢. I would pay $50K and get an X3 instead.
Liking it.
I love the flat black around the tires
Thanks fir sharing your vote
Loving the Nissan Rogue SL I think as a non-luxury SUV it's cool.
Thanks for letting me share it with you Luis!
@@RaitisRides Yes Joe
$38,000.0 is kinda steep for the heep!
Joe keep up the good work real true and I love the video real true 💯👍
Literally bought this exact vehicle an trim two days ago, it’s a very impressive vehicle.
I am so glad that you like this one.
I love the design, but don't know about the 3 Cylinders.
I had one as a rental car, and the engine was surprisingly good. It was smooth and reasonably powerful.
I have a 2023 basic rogue the seats are so comfortable!
Gotta go with Rav4 but the Rogue is quite nice
My wife and I test drove one last year. Extremely slow, underpowered boat. The 2015 Nissan rogue is fantastic! Buy a used 2015 Nissan rogue if you’re into Nissan Rogues. 🤙
You probably drove in Eco Mode. The vehicle learns your driving habits. Mine is bore out from my heavy foot. No lag
It's hard to find this in Canada. How about a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross or RVR? Which are easily available
Hard pass
@@RaitisRides how about Chevy trailblazer? Thanks
haha the reviewer demonstrated how easy it was to leave his finger prints. Hahaha
My four cylinder rogue SV 2021 gets 40 mi to the gallon on the open road
lost me at CVT, I thought Nissan was incorporating the 9 speed in all their line up. maybe next redesign for rogue?
That seems to be the most reoccurring answer!
I just got my 2023 Rouge SL and I love it
It's a 1.5l 3cyl..... 3 cylinders??
Not made to last.
I drove the 2021 1.5l 4cyl with 181hp and it drove amazing and theyre extremely comfortable, i love the inside.
I have a '21 rav4 and I hate it because there's a gas limiter on the throttle.... so if you floor it, you'll get all RPM but no increase in speed. You're at the mercy of how fast the car wants to speed up. All toyotas are like that.
Nissans put a switch at the bottom of the pedal so when you floor it the car knows you wanna speed up really fast.
So I'd take a nissan with a cvt over a toyota with 8 speed automatic with a gas limiter.
I've almost been rear ended twice from not being able to speed up fast when I need to.
Cvts drive amazing, they just don't last long.
If they switched the rubber belts with a sprocket and chain system, I guarantee cvts like that would dominate.
We love it! Roooomy. Comfortable! No regrets on this purchase
when travelling to Kansas City this weekend, had this for a rental with 3-cylinder turbo, this car can pull however due to lack of a better transmission, the car doesn't accelerate as fast as it should... yet it still manage to hit 200km/h on a straight line which is impressive. the engine doesn't give any loud noises when you were inside the cabin..., fuel economy is superb, fuel tank is around 385-411 miles per fill up.
But you will also have to pay more money for German, and I'm not only talking about the price.
@@crownz05but in this case it's about car rental and my personal experience, cost would definitely be more to own a German but if you can't bear the cost of owning and maintaining it, you can at least rent or lease it and enjoy it while it lasts...
Very special in it's own way and designed well.
I like the Rogue & the Equinox the best, the the CX-5 in third place. tony
Great top 3 Tony!
I rented it and I have the base model and I really like it a lot
I am wondering if the subwoofer is still mounted inside the spare tire?
Yes it is
Nissan rogue does not have the option of a 12in screen infotainment - sorry Joe
Yes, I can buy a 23' Nissan Rogue over RAV4.
I’m so glad that you like this one
The reason you buy a RAV4 over this is because of the perceived reliability but I think people that are reviewing these kind of really like this vehicle the only problem I'm thinking I've seen in several reviews like actual people that have bought the vehicle is that the vehicle is unstable when it's on bumpy roads
I’d be afraid of the reliability but it certainly checks off the other boxes. I’d never get one in boredom gray, though.
That is good because they have other colors.
I just traded in my 23 Pathfinder because I started having issues with the shifter, I’ve been a Nissan fan for years but I honestly believe they’re quality isn’t as good anymore, hopefully I made the right choice getting into my first KIA…
Having owned Kia and Huyndai before, I’d really recommend getting a Toyota. Yes, they are way uglier, but yet much more reliable and fuel efficient.
You made a mistake. The infotainment system only goes up to nine inches. The 12.3 screen is for the gage cluster
With the turbo, does the Rogue require premium fuel?
No the 87 is juat fine, I have one and only use 87.. burns great and performs great
That is a great question! No it does not.
Thanks for sharing that experience!
I use 88 in mine, it's cheaper
Ford has a three cylinder that's pretty good Toyota has a 3 cylinder turbocharged engine in the Toyota Corolla GR that thing is super fast
My only problem with Nissan is the CVT gearbox until it’s gone then it’s a no go for me
Really good option, plenty of them on dealer lots to chose from and get good discounts and leases on them unlike the toyota's
Oooooh my gosh what a magnificent silvery cloudy rogue color have ❤❤
A very beautiful design but we all know about Nissan CVTs. Great Video Joe! 😆
I’m so glad that you liked it!
There is some irony complaining about the past issues with CVT's in that Nissan fully intends to perfect the technology and is on a path to do so.
they are so convenient❤!
Nissan should make a Rogue based on the T31 XTrail with 4WD and manual transmission. A larger competitor to the Suzuki Jimny.
Not gonna front. Nissan finally tweaked thier cvts pretty well. I drove in 2 new Nissans recently and i was like the engine was nothing like my annoying 2013 Nissan
