What I like about Predator 2 is that is has a very distinct style and self contained movie. It expands the Predator universe, we see more technology in a different environment.. Its not trying to be a remake of Predator like Predators did...that was just a silly movie.

The movie opens with the shootout between the cops and the gangs and therefore the predator targets both sides of the firefight. Now, how could it follow all these different people? Well, there was more than one predator remember? How do we know it was one predator doing all the killing, well, we don't. Some of the killings you don't even see the predator, or it's in camouflage.
Cool movie concoction PREDATOR IN JURASSIC PARK. there was this urban legend of them finding dinosaur skulls with what looked like holes drilled in them. Could be projectiles or energy weapon of some kind? Maybe they wiped out the dinosaurs millions of years ago and would love the challenge if man recreated them? Anyone want to collaborate on that script?
The predator was perfectly made. Predator 2 was just dumb, nothing about it was appeared realistic. Predators was boring and yeah what killed it was the collection of humans to hunt. The Predator's Prey is what made it awesome in the Predator. PredatorS did the exact opposite, why the hell were they worth hunting? If they would of would followed suit to the first Predator and took bad ass characters from our generation and put them in a thought worhty gaming situation. It would of been awesome to see characters like Brock Lesnar, Kimbo Slice , Jason Statham etc...smartly put in the movie.
also, imagine dropping any number of people in the middle of the Predators' Homeworld, surrounded by tens of thousands of Predators. you'd need a stopwatch to measure how short PREDATORS would have been, unless the main character would have switched over to an adolescent Predator who spends the next hour and a half showing off his Danny Trejo head and getting laid and stuff.
I don't want another sequal they keep fucking it up, Predator and Aliens are the best movies for me ever and they just keep fucking them up with shitty sequals.

The Predators have been shown breathing something other than oxygen (what it is has changed a number of times in the EU) so it doesn't make much sense to assume that the third film takes place on their planet. They needed to hunt on a world with a breathable atmosphere for the prey. I don't think a human would last very long on the Predator home world without a space suit.

You see Adrian brody's character standing there with one set of 3 dots, then more sets, then more, then more and more! I was like WHAAAT?! Then I saw the movie and it was just one set of 3 dots. It was like a demonic ninja, attacking from the shadows only to dissapear again in the blink of an eye. A far cry from the clumsy fat ass Preds in the latest films. P2 introduced some of the most iconic weaponry in the Pred's arsenal. And lets not forget the epic climax which begins in a meat locker and ends inside the space ship. Give P2 it's due damit!

dear Cinefiles, i can understand your criticisms with the exception of Danny Glover as the main character. however there was one detail that you missed. one of you remarked that the Maria Conchita Alonso character was spared because of the noble reason that the predator felt pity for her. however, in hunter culture, it's very frowned upon to kill impregnated prey, not for altruistic reasons, but because you would be denying future hunters the prey you killed before it was a "viable" prey item.
Are any of the CineFiles aware of this weird bit of trivia? Just before Predators was green-lit, the British press announced Elton John's production company were making a movie called Pride & Predator. A re-imagining of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice with a Predator on the loose!!
one thing more about predators confusing about which planet they are is when the serial killer guy identifys the toxic flower found on earth.. and this "alien" game preserve and gives us the scientific name of it and ends up using on the broad later to paralize her.. bad writing
richard lynch should have played Walter E. Kurtz, in apocolips know he and martin sheen as aposse to the overated and overwait Marlon brando . lynch and sheen somuch alike
Predator series is no masterpiece, but is a very consistent series, in terms of quality, in that way, it tops the alien franchise in terms of consistent quality.
