- Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro met with Vice President Kamala Harris Sunday as she vets possible running mates. Meanwhile, many of Shapiro's neighbors say he would be a good partner for Harris on the ticket.

Trump and Vance for whatever reason can't seem to not be controversial which will turn off the majority of those moderate voters. Remember as well that the Senate is leaning Republican and the House is going to be close. So, if Harris do get elected it's not like she would be able to push through bills without Republicans. She will have to work to put through bi- partisan bills. Even if the house and senate is blue. She will needs like Tester and Brown from traditional red states to support her legislation.

I looked it up and the state does have free breakfasts but the initiative was created and proposed by the governor that came before Shapiro. He did sign it even though he seemed to disagree with it. The fact is that any of those candidates are stellar. It speaks to the depth of talent and quality of Democrats compared to Republicans. They had to scrape the bottom of the barrel for Trump and Vance. Yikes! My three favorites are Shapiro, Walz and Beshear, but honestly, any would be fine. I worry about Kelly leaving a Senate seat which is very valuable. Kamala has been my representative since 2004, when she was my district attorney. I’ve voted for her for every position she’s had. If PA's electoral college votes are the most critical thing, then Gov. Shapiro must be chosen. But, if the nationwide appeal matters the most to Kamala, she might choose Sen. Kelly of AZ. His resume is very impressive, in addition to help Arizona's electoral college votes. I'm okay with either one at this point.

My initial apprehensions had been based on one or 2 small snippets of reports i had read where he had been overly critical of 1 or 2 college demonstrations. I never really dug in to the full stories & what exactly they were actually saying. But if Jonathan Greenblatt, whom i had oft been at odds with his verbiage, will go as far as to say 'he has a stronger position criticizing netanyahoo, than maybe even Bernie Sanders does;' well, i just don't think he would make something like that up? Does that mean he's now my #1, well, not necessarily; i do like Tim Walz best of those remaining, or even Sec.
