@@lunaticcultoast4298 Considering you can use hoiks (or something similar) to enter the jungle temple early, even when other methods like pylons won't allow you to, kind of makes it hard to argue that it's not a glitch. It does, in my opinion, fall squarely into the category of glitches that shouldn't be patched, though: it won't ruin your game, it's almost impossible to stumble across by accident, and it can do some pretty neat things.

I'd be more comfortable calling it a glitch-turned-feature if it were properly integrated into the game, e.g. no hoiking into the jungle temple, in-game tutorials about hoiking, new features being added that are designed to interact with hoiks, etc. As it is, you'd never know hoiking was a thing if you didn't read about it somewhere on the internet, and the game itself also doesn't acknowledge it in any way.

They're lit by the people of this world to celebrate your victory" Given that the entire sky is filled with lanterns and the townsfolk have to come from somewhere we're definitely famous

@Just hide the pain I had a green, pink and blue in different worlds, I thought they were evenly divided chances. I never had a problem passing through them when entering... after Skeletron, of course.
As of 1.3.4, and its item frame dupe and invincibility glitches, this is no longer the fastest strategy, but it is still definitely possible. Crafting a bed only takes 35 cobwebs and 3 iron, which can, if you're lucky, be found in and around the same chest you get your boomerang.

This guy beat Dungeon Guardian with a wooden boomerang while using the hoik method, while I'm sitting over here, in a martian saucer, with a wyrm made of pure stardust, attacking this giant, spinning skull with a solar flare, and dying two times while this dude did it first try in under 30 minutes while it took me almost an hour. Now this, this is some intelligent dude who knows how to play...
