It’s obvious you must be very busy Mark! But please keep’em coming. We love your posts and, if it’s any easier, just know these short posts are enjoyed and appreciated just as much. We await your next one patiently. (How about one in the future on hide glue: what is it, how is it made, how do you use it, what is “fresh hide glue”? etc!) Thank you again!
Hi Mark I just stumbled upon your channel... really great info well presented ..now I'm hooked and subscribed..looking forward to many more....Glenn in Vemont
Astounding! I’m as surprised to be the first view as I am in this partial re-fret! Very few shops can rival that catalogue of vintage frets! I’ve saved frets from all my re-frets, too! Since 2013! Except they’d all fit into a small jam jar! Peace - great post!
lol, i used to save my old strings, even the ones i cut i had in a vase like a bunch of phospher-bronze dandylions, but i chucked them a while ago cos, well, 40 years of strings from a minimum of 4 guitars, 11 at the moment, the house would fall down.
wow what a concept !!! keeping and marking old frets never seen anyone do that cheers Mark !!!

Neat tip
Thanks for these videos, love your channel and your expertise!
Thanks Mark, that’s good stuff. I also save some of the sanding dust off fingerboards sometimes for future repairs/fill!
Clever! 👍🏻
Thank you for the tip! I’m going to save that old fret wire!
Wait... the trick is you repair vintage guitars for 15 years first? I'll be sure to try that out right away.
