    Great vid. I have a very early white TR6, built at the end of 68. The first batch. Imported back to the UK. Restored and converted to RHD, but never been welded amazingly.

    I am glad that you have the BB6 (Big bad TR6) out and are going to run it for the summer as I am a fan/owner/lover of the most beautiful Triumph ever made. As far as I am concerned, the TR6 has the 2nd best lines of any sports car ever made (XKE is first). There are several things that you have done to yours that I have also done to mine. When building mine up, my main focus was to build a SPORTS CAR THAT WAS FUN TO DRIVE!!! So I have not focused on "bling". Like you, I have put a lot of effort into the suspension and handling. It is all about the smile on my face and the sound of the exhaust as I down shift and nail it into another double ess curve on some back country road here on the south coast of Oregon. The top is down and it might be inclement weather-or-not and watch out for the cows/deer/farmers/opposums/locals-going-ta-church/buzzards-a-munching-on road-kill as I got cross drilled and slotted brakes with silicon fluid, front-and-rear-heavy-duty-sways, heavy duty upgraded coils for and aft, konis forward and levers w/ heavy oil and upgraded valves in da rear and Kas da Kaster-man wispering in my ear about apex curves and forward down shifting to load the suspension and ON TO THE NEXT GREAT TR6 ADVENTURE!!!!! (could be better 'n sex, I'm just not quite sure but, I think that I need a cigarette.) 😎👍

    • @cheftush

      I’m so happy that I’m not totally enamoured with the XKE…I can just imagine how much it would cost to restore one….I’m happy to stick with my little triumphs 😉

    Great video about one of my all-time favorite cars. Thanks for the extensive walk around and talk about all you have done. What an excellent TR6 you have to enjoy and drive around. The sound of that engine and exhaust is pure music. My cousin had a white TR6 back in the day, such a beautiful car. Now that I've retired I am currently looking to buy one and hope to be on the roads someday soon..

      Hi Martin, I’ve literally driven this TR6 thousands of miles from home on many occasions and it has never failed to get me home. I had a breakdown once (fuel pump) but carry some spares in the boot…20 minutes later I was back on the road. You can do some upgrades to modernize it for sure, but the key is to maintain it well to begin with. Good luck with your search. Cheers, Tush

    Such a fantastic 6. The few things that I've done to mine were modeled after yours, engine-wise. With all the info available out there, I still comb through your videos before going to 6-pack LOL. My next project is to rework the lever shocks. I'll probably send them out, but I have your video favorited. BTW, the first time you did a Moss video, I noticed that they were out of the valve cover fasteners and the 'tinkering' fender protector! The commission number you quoted was short one digit. "CF4874UO". Did you reinforce the weak points on the frame? I powder coated the frame on my TR6 after the frame reinforcement. Poly urethane bushings throughout. I also switched to an Optima battery to eliminate any acid damage. Full frame off resto on mine too, 1969 CC27XX1L. Added a J type OD, rigged to mimic the older A type OD 2,3,4. Roller rockers, street cam, frame mounted roll bar, upgraded BCC front disc calipers w/ slotted rotors, SS brake lines throughout, HID headlights, electric fuel pump, SU HS6 carbs w/ K&Ns, Pertronix electronic ignition for the early 22D6, front spoiler, custom CG&J aluminum radiator and heater core w/ oversized valve, and added a top end oiler. Custom leather and wool carpet by Heritage Upholstery. Panasport Z-Light 15 x 6 rims with Falken tires. The final body painted new white, w/ Group 44 livery, sans team names and numbers.

    • @cheftush
      @cheftush  11 месяцев назад

    • @cheftush
      @cheftush  3 года назад

      Thanks Phil….it was a pretty tight parking lot and on a few of the passes I was on the brakes pretty hard 😉 Well, I’ve had my first shot (astra zeneca) and now they are not even offering it as a first dose option now not to mention that they don’t know if they will be administering it for the second. It’s a $hit Show. My second shot isn’t scheduled until Mid August, so maybe they will figure it out by then. Until then, our stay at home order /state of emergency has been extended from may 20th and will now end June 2nd unless it’s extended yet again…pretty frustrating.

      Good Question. Yes, there is a reason, I’ve had a good Buddy lose his car to a fire because a fire started in the engine bay and he couldn’t get his hand under to undo the safety because of the flames…he had an extinguisher but couldn’t use it to save the car as he couldn’t get under the bonnet….I’ve known a couple guys who have had fires in the engine bay…
