Dear Jeremy, great tips! Very informative video! Cheerio
Well done!
Always been fascinated by the Fast Track system, but afraid to try it. Thanks for making this video.
Thank you very much for your helpful introduction video of building fast tracks turnouts.
Me I am still planning to buy me some fast tracks jigs, maybe double crossover jig or maybe in addition a double slip crossover jig, too and maybe another one for building ga(u)ntlet tracks fof bridges of or landing bridges of RR traject ferries.
Me I am located at Luebeck in northern germany and building for myself a small alongside two walls modular shunting layout fof a fictional, private, prussian, industrial Shortline in the year of 1908 in H0 Scale, when germany was an imperial kingdom.
My track centers are 2" Inches and my minimum curves are 24" Inches and I prefer #6 turnouts for my mainline.
The prototype RR had #9 turnouts onto its branchline of what is my fictional mainline of my roadname RR Company.
I learned a lot of from some other videos you made, thank you very much for it.
Happy railroading and greetingsfrom northern germany,
Ingo R.
Ingo, I'm glad the videos have helped out! They take a lot of time to make but if I am able to help other molders with their projects, then I have met my goal! Good luck on the layout build! As a side note...if you are using flex track, I would recommend the Sweep Sticks that Fast Tracks have to make a perfect 24" radius.
Jeremy
Hi Jeremy,
Yes the sweep sticks are great but me using the metal ones from Peco, which I bought myself a few years ago.
I will buy some sweep sticks, too and the track space adjustment bridges because I need accuracy layed down parallel tracks inside the curves.
My minimum radius is 24", the middel radius is 26" the outer radius is 28" by a 2" center of tracks of what I use.
Well for building Signals between the tracks a track center of 2.5" would be better but in my period of time, the german era 1, was it possible build signals in groups into the right, the left or over the RR tracks or anywhere else onto a good visible point for the loco engineer.
