I rented a car and stayed near Luodong - I think this is the best way. I’m not sure how frequent public transportation is but with car you can stop wherever you like :)
I really like the idea of the train ride between trails because it gives you chance to rest and see other sites before hiking the next hike. The train rides break up the day and gives it variety.
It was really fun! Very short but definitely fun! There are far longer, scenic train rides in the country that you can take! Hopefully one day i can do the Rocky Mountain Mountaineer through Canadian Rockies! 🇨🇦
I hope you enjoyed this visit to Taipingshan and the famous Bong Bong train! Would you consider a visit?
I have not! I’d love to go some day, is that where you are from?
Thank you!
@Guyfromgibraltar i would definitely be interested in learning the history and stopping for a few days! I hope so in the futurr
