- The 2021 #Ferrari Portofino M is a 200MPH convertible with a racing wheel that continues Ferrari's tradition of making fast, front-engine GT cars. It takes the Portofino and gives it more power, some new styling, 2 more driving modes, carbon brakes, and the latest in Ferrari's shock software.
Its 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine makes 612HP (20 more than the non-M) and 561LB-FT of torque. 0-60 takes 3.5 seconds, in part due to the new dry-sump dual-clutch transmission that is lighter, smaller, and shifts quicker than the outgoing 7-speed. Just don't overpack if you plan to put the top down.
It's the Mercedes SL of Ferrari. The Lexus LC500 with more turbos, provenance, and money.Porsche Turbo speed but in a car that people will notice.

Nice to see a solo Zack vid on this channel! Gives a little variety. You've gotten a lot better at talking and driving in videos I've noticed too. Feels a lot more natural.

Zack doesn’t get a chance to get more than a few words out at a time when he’s in the car with Matt. Nothing against Matt, but he likes to command the conversation. Good job man, hope you had a great time over there!
For real, Zach's one takes are always organic. He always finds the rights words that sum up the macro picture perfectly and he's always got the right perspective. He just gets it. So many car youtubers get stuck making the same cookie cutter videos saying the same phrases and talking about the same things.
@@colemank7753 It's not that he likes to be in charge per se, but he IS the face of the brand, and it is his on-air talent and charisma (which is naturally much better than Zack) that has made this channel successful.

Zack a camera attached to the rear glass or sunroof would look cool to show your steering inputs as well as the road. Just gotta watch out for the exposure to not blow out.

The muted sound is not due to OPF (GPF) that needs to be fitted on all EU market DI gasoline cars as of 2019, but due to EU sound regulations. These rules apply as of 2016 and there are three transitional periods (phases) that will be fully implemented in 2024(new model)/2026(first registration). The most recent sound reduction (Phase 2) for new model cars started on July 2020 and the maximum sound volume now is 74 dB compared to 75dB before that (will ultimately reduce to 72dB after Phase 3). If you put aftermarket cat back exhaust on e.g. Porsche GT4, keeping the original OPF, it still will sound really good and be really loud.
Does that apply to the 812, or is it exempt from these noise regulations.
@Boddu Rakesh The recent 812 SF models also have to comply with these rules. However, in theory if the cars are exported to US, they might have different exhaust system, like some McLaren models for US have louder exhausts compared to EU models.

I like how they call these type of cars “two plus two”. Any of them(and Porsche does it too) are ridiculous in that no one could ever stomach actually sitting in one of the back seats.
Great for kids though… all of my kids ❤️ the rear seats when they were little.

Ferrari is really struggling with engine sound on their turbocharged cars. The Roma sounds like a Honda minivan, this sounds like a Civic with a fartcan exhaust (I suppose expected with a flat plane crank).
It’s a sensational drop top (supercar) GT, looks amazing with aftermarket wheels.

I find it strange that you found so much slow traffic.
Ive been in Italy 5 times and they behave on the highway because there is radars every mile but when they get on the backroads they all turn into Fitipaldis.
And I mean complete psychos! One of the many times I saw that behavior I was driving up a mountain road towards my hotel at 80 Kph and the road limit was 40. I was going TWICE the speed limit and behind me was this 4x4 which was flashing lights, honking and DESPERATE to pass me over continuos line!!
I've travelled to many regions in southern Italy and the highways aren't that bad, everyone drove normal, for Europeans, not that i would even know what is normal behaviour cause I'm an Aussie. Albeit there were times we were driving 140km and that's the fastest I've gone in my life 😂. I'm sure you already know but, those Italian roads...WORST INFRASTRUCTURE EVER

I love it when these car review guys talk about how comfortable and easy it would be to do long hours in these sports cars:) I bought a 2005 S2000 once because all the reviewers said it had a great, compliant ride..Not! Barely drove it over three years.

I see Ferrari finally recongnized that touring cars need interior storage although they only fitted one cupholder so they still need to do better. If McLaren can give it's most hard-core cars 2 or sometimes even three cupholders, there's no excuse why a leather lined GT car doesn't have good interior storage.

I'll never understand how people drive comfortably with the steering wheel at eye level. The wheel is just a couple inches below the top of the seat.

Roma has the new interior, this has the last generation's interior. Roma rides a lighter but the engine and gearbox are the same. The Roma also feels more solid be cause it is.
