- May 5, 1945 -- 79 years ago to the day in Tyrol, Austria, American Lieutenant John C. Lee, Jr. and a German Major Josef Gangl joined forces to defend the besieged Castle Itter from the Waffen-SS in what some call "the strangest battle of World War II."
The World Witches Series's rendition of the Siege of Malta and a siege of Delos island are prominently on display in this AMV, albeit with the Allies attacking instead of defending.
The majority of this Strike Witches AMV is comprised of bits from Strike Witches 2: Episode 10, Strike Witches: Operation Victory Arrow Episode 2, and Strike Witches Road to Berlin Episode 4.
I chose the unlikely allies of this AMV to be Charlotte 'Shirley' E. Yeager and Hanna-Justina Marseille, respectively representing Lee and Gangl and their respective nations. Gertrud Barkhorn could have been a better choice as she and Shirley butted heads throughout most of the series before they shared a mutual respect to each other, but I felt Shirley vs. Marseille was a better fit. Ever since the manga "Strike Witches: The Sky that Connects Us" Chapters 2 and 3, those two were not on good terms, and when the two meet again in Operation Victory Arrow it is clear that they were not thrilled to see each other.
The opening visuals are meant to show that Shirley and Hanna have similar backgrounds as celebrities despite their distaste towards each other. This was bookended with the two of them working together by the end of the video.
The Siege of Malta is probably the only moment in the anime where blue-on-blue with live weapons and not the orange paintball guns was intentional and on full display, hence why it's included. Bonus points that Hanna and Erica are both from Karlsland, hence referencing the Wehrmacht fighting the Waffen-SS during Castle Itter.
The audio and visuals used in this video belong to their respective owners.
This video's specific composition of audio and visuals was edited by me.

This is amazing.
The Strike Witches. Winning the war on pants.
Great AMV, and just wanted to say that it is nice how in the description you always explain how exactly the visuals tie to the song.
This is one of my favourite animes. The song fits it well, keep it up
So is no-one going to mention the lone Italian girl in the video Lucchini needs some praise to.
Another amazing amv
This was a great video. Are Strike Witches on HiDive?
I wonder why the ova was not on blu-ray?
Nice amv :D
After watching ARS Nova, Kantai Collection or Girls and Panzers i thought something about planes/air force would be cool. Strike Witches could fit.. but this silly overkill of panty shots make me surr while episode 2 :/
Yeah, I feel that the excessive panty shots is a weak link for Strike Witches. Those shots get toned down as the series goes on; to the point where Road to Berlin has a noticeable lack of them, and Luminous Witches basically having none. I'd recommend watching the spinoff, Brave Witches as a start; it's set in the same universe but with less panty shots than the first two seasons.
Other air force related anime I've watched are somewhat in the same vein as the anime you mentioned are "The Magnificent Kotobuki," "Saga of Tanya the Evil," "Warlords of Sigrdrifa," "The Princess and the Pilot," and "Dragon Pilot: Hisone and Masotan." (I haven't finished Dragon Pilot yet but I've enjoyed it so far.)

Yeah, noticed that too when I marathoned (and first time watched) all of Strike Witches when Luminous Witches had just started, that as the series went on the fanservice decreased and decreased.
And can also recommend "Saga of Tanya the Evil" and "Warlords of Sigrdrifa". I'd also recommend "Izetta: The Last Witch" and, of course, Porco Rosso.
Thx for this advices :) May i go in for a second time.
@Fenris8800 If you want the magnificent kotobuki anime might be worth a look then
I love you l like you love you ❤️
