- It’s my first time playing Uncharted on PS5, the classic hits edition. I know nothing about the Naughty Dog series, or any of the stories, but just how much Nathan Drake is loved by many. I'm having a lot of fun with the game and excited to see how each character develops over the series.

I’d only I could like twice, once for the new series you’re embarking on and of course yourself, have a great time with this game and hopefully the sequels in due time.
I would drop ten likes if I could. He’s my favorite video game character, BUT I also love love love Sully!!! And Elena!!! I love these characters so much that I replay these games at least once or twice a year. Especially if you’re coming from the drama of the LOU and LOUII, this game series is like a good friend lifting you up from any funk.

@@PhoenixNat Well they do age as the series goes on (moreso in some games than others) but I think in this situation it's simply the Voice actor being so much younger. As Im used to her Uncharted 4 voice, where she's like 15 years older.
Nathan Drake is voiced by Nolan North he was also the voice actor for Modi from God of War 2018 and David from The Last of Us. Elena is the is voiced by Emily Rose and she also did the voice of Sif from God of War Ragnarök. So, she went from voicing a character with a romance with a Nolan North (Drake) character to voicing a character who is the mother of a Nolan North character (Modi).
Makes me wonder if there were any good-natured jokes at each other's expense when she got cast as Sif.
Nolan and Troy as Magni and Modi have one of the best jokes in the 2018 GoW…
Magni: Don’t you forget, we’re everywhere.
Modi: We really are, aren’t we.
(Because these two voice actors show up everywhere in a lot of games!)

All of your questions about the relationships, the ring, etc. get answered in various games in the series. Yes, the video has been remastered, but the original wasn't bad. It was one of the PS3's best games - and the PS3 was really hard to program.
Uncharted 1, 2 and 3 were on the PS3. Uncharted 4 and the mini sequel Lost Legacy on the PS4 when they were first released. There was also a game on the PlayStation Portable, but I never played it.
I need to check these release dates now for more context
Small correction. The last game he is referring to is Uncharted: Golden Abyss, which was released on the PS3 Vita in 2011/2012
Uncharted 1 was actually a launch title for the PS3!

I'm not sure the game ever tells you - certainly, as you have discovered, it doesn't tell you early enough - the L3 is the aiming shoulder toggle - a quick press and it switches.

Ahhh thank you James. I am delighted you want to experience these games through my playthrough! I’ve just finished the second game, honestly, you’ll love it. It’s classic action adventure, think Indian Jones type, with lots of comedy (and the odd out of date line or 2 hahah).

Ahh yess! Being a history nerd, bookworm, and into archaeology myself, this game just hit all the right chords for me. A classic treasure hunting, adventure genre with colourful characters and scenarios. You have made the right choice to tackle this series and you will be forever grateful and I hope you enjoy your journey! The sassy dialogue is gold and never gets old hehe

HERE👏🏽WE👏🏽GO👏🏽! I've always enjoyed watching n seeing you figuring out new stuff. This is the perfect game for you to do it again. N you figuring out both the climbing/shimmy-ing n also the puzzles in this 1st ever episode were insanely satisfying!
Regarding the difficulty, i'd say keep it as it is(Normal) because both the puzzles(?) n enemies will progressively gets...unpleasant. N not to worry bout falling because it isn't an Uncharted playthrough if Nate doesn't "fall into oblivion"🤣
Other than that, we're off to a strong start n i'm SUPER excited for this whole series. We're going to have lots of fun watching n YOU are going to have tons of fun playing!

There are many shades of black, it’s one of my major complaints about black clothes that don’t match other black clothes. Like charcoal black vs gun-metal black.
Actually true. It’s most annoying when your all black outfit doesn’t match 🙄
WOW, I have this game on my PS3 and it's been awhile since I played it. I don't think I can give you any Tips. Great ❤ game..
No health bar, but what they do have is what they call "Nate's Luck Indicator" as Nate is getting either shot at or beat up the picture turns from color to black and white. Once the screen goes completely black and white Nate's luck has run out, he gets shot and dies. So, "technically" Nate isn't getting shot it's a near miss. Once the screen is completely black and white is when he gets shot.
So, you don't have to recover medicine for health you just have to take cover and wait for Nate's luck to restore once the picture is all the way in color again it's full.
Similar to RDR, right? The OG RDR, I mean, I haven’t played 2 yet
It's the enemies that get harder on the higher difficulty.
The controls are a bit "hinky" in the first Uncharted, but they were improved slightly in the PS4 version.

Difficulty only increases how are enemies are, the puzzles remain the same.

The "puzzles" stay the same no matter the difficulty, and are for the most part pretty easy (especially in the first game).

I think I remember hearing that they modeled the Nathan Drake character both in looks and personality to actor Nathan Fillion. When there were rumors that they were working on an Uncharted live action movie the internet and fans of the series were practically begging the studio to cast Nathan Fillion to play Nathan Drake, and I believe he was considered before they went in another direction.
Fillion did do a 15-minute live action Uncharted fan film where he played Drake. That could be a fun video reaction for the channel to close out this franchise. You doing a reaction to that fan film. It is available on RUclips.

@@PhoenixNatFair enough. Hold off on watching the fan film until after you finish the second game. Not for spoilers but they mention characters you won't meet until the second game. And if the fan film was actually cannon between the second and third game is where it would fall.
@@PhoenixNatAlso for spoilers I would not watch a trailer for the actual movie or watch the actual movie until after you finish the fourth game. There is a character you don't meet until the fourth game that gets mentioned in the live action movie and there are set pieces in the movie that happen in the games, and it will make a better reaction for your videos if you experience those for the first time in the games.

The enemies get harder, the puzzles remain the same on the harder difficulties.
You Should give Resident Evil and Silent Hill series a try if you like puzzles(and ofcourse if you haven't already played them before).
I was considering Resi, but only after having play TLOU and I understand Resi really is just monsters and zombies kinda horror.

@@PhoenixNat Yeah Resi has a B movie horror vibes to it but i think you'll really enjoy the gameplay.
All good Silent Hill games are now pretty old(the last good SH was released in 2004). They have a more psychological horror aspect to them but the core gameplay is similar to Resi.
I'd highly recommend playing Silent Hill 2(Story is standalone so playing the first is not required) someday, it is an extremely unique and unforgettable piece of art that might never be replicated in the gaming world again.

did you end up going back to collect any treasure you missed or did you not have interest to do so? lol it didn't change anything story wise but still a nice little bonus to get all the character skins/cheats etc
I didn't, sadly one of the downsides to recording the games and needing to stay on a schedule means there's very limited time to go back for stuff. But maybe once I've finished 4 I can check out all the extras and the movie I've heard so much hahah

Long story. Skip if you want. I'm a huge fan of the Mass Effect franchise. I didn't have a PS4 when Andromeda was announced and when they started preorders, I thought, "Surely, I'll have a PS4 by the time this drops." Fast forward a few months and I've been staying offline a while. I go to check the mail and here's Mass Effect Andromeda in my hands. And I still don't have a PS4. lol. So, I thought, "Well... sh*t." I go online and start shopping for a PS4. Surprisingly, the Uncharted Bundle (A PS4 and Uncharted 4) was cheaper than a stand alone PS4, so I bought it. Uncharted 4 stayed in the shrink wrap for months as I took in everything Andromeda. Got bored one day and popped it in. Fell immediately in love with it and played straight through. I go online to see about the other games in the series and lo and behold, all 3 games in one collection with Lost Legacy on the horizon. They're a little janky and the graphics aren't quite up to par with 4, but the story and characters more than make up for it. TLDR; I love this series. 🥰

Hello Nat. I've always thought this was M rated(pegi 18 for y'all) that slipped through the cracks. You spend a lot of time murdering lots of people and does saying the words asshole or shit equate to one F word?
those seem like low level swears, but I didn't know how highly rate it was. I guess the dialogue is pretty intense, but the gameplay is not, because of the graphics.
