With the ego Paul had and his well nourished upbringing Paul made himself the number one leader of Christianity. Putting on the "new man" is like ridding yourself from yourself . . .which I believe Paul also talked about. Both make little sense and no one can rid themselves from themselves. Thanks Paul for writing in a style which no one can understand, you certainly did not do us any favors by doing so.
Yes. Even Paul said that he does what he doesn't want to do, and to take from him this body of sin. We won't be changed until Jesus comes back. Then the dead in Christ shall rise first and we who remain shall meet them in the clouds. Then shall we descend and live with the Lord forever. John Macarthur gets it wrong once again.
We change from glory to glory by the spirit of the Lord. If you chose good over evil, you are putting off the old man. If you have to put it off, that means it still exists. Read Romans 7

You guys need to let go of your calvinist obsession. All you need to remember is that God is sovereign over good and evil. To think anything else is really an insult to God. It really doesn't require any further explanation.
@@buixrule All orthodox Christians believe God is sovereign. Sovereign means that God is in control. Calvinists have distorted "sovereign" to mean meticulous determinism. Well the way I see it is, you have to decided each and everyday that your old man is dead. It's difficult to consider yourself dead when you're actually still alive but you do so everyday because this old man and old nature will really only be dead once die on earth. That is when we will be utterly free from it. So everyday you decide to put off the old nature, you consider it dead and you put on everyday the new man. That's how I understand it remember it's your nature, unfortunately we stuck with it till the day we die but the good news is we can put on the new man in Christ now already and only through Christ's help. We are new creatures, by faith we believe now, and faith is the evidence of things not seen yet, we are new creatures but we awaiting the day we will be transformed.
Likely because this is only an excerpt, he may have mentioned later on that we still have our carnal, fleshy body that wars against our new man. That fleshy body will finally be taken away when we are clothed with incorruptibility at the return of Jesus Christ
very confused......If we all sin , all though we are saved, thus saved though faith, are we not saved... though scripture states that we are imperfect beings till we put on the incorruptible bodies, which is the rapture ...we cannot be unsaved after accepting Christ as our personal saviour
We lose our old nature when we are born again of the Spirit of God. However, we still live in our flesh, which is still sinful, but we despise the sinfulness of our flesh, we no longer cater to it because we have lost our sin nature; that is, our longing to satisfy our fleshly desires.

Well that will be hard Yehway is described as the Ancient of Days it says in the Bible
So when was the old man crucified?
And when did the old man exist?
Please someone should answer me. If then the old nature has been replaced by the new nature why do we or i keep on sinning?
Well the way I see it is, you have to decided each and everyday that your old man is dead. If what he says is true, why do Christians still sin on occasion? It seems that with the new nature no converted Christian would ever sin again.
Likely because this is only an excerpt, he may have mentioned later on that we still have our carnal, fleshy body that wars against our new man. That fleshy body will finally be taken away when we are clothed with incorruptibility at the return of Jesus Christ

Because you treat sin as a normal thing that why If you walk by the spirit you not fulfil the desires of the flesh
We lose our old nature when we are born again of the Spirit of God. However, we still live in our flesh, which is still sinful, but we despise the sinfulness of our flesh, we no longer cater to it because we have lost our sin nature; that is, our longing to satisfy our fleshly desires.
