Note from the composer:
"Marcello is a conséquence of a funny bet : I was hungry and Jasmin (Kolberg) said she could cook for me if I composed a duo piece for marimba and cello, then I did the first part and got my dinner! It was 15 years ago. For the first part I use several harmonic march giving the melody to cello as well as marimba. The second part is a tribute to JS BACH transforming is G prélude in a dance in 5/8.“
