They're all superb dancers BUT R&Y are on a different level.
What I like most of them two is that you can 👀 and feel their flow in and with the music and dance. Even if the music is quite crappy here. The better the music is the more you can 👀 it.
They're not just dancing technically perfect they're celebrating their wonderful connection they have.
That is why it's a kind of magic on the dance floor what they show us. ☺

In my many years in this sport other than possibly Donny burns and Gaynor Fairweather and Bryan Watson and Carmen I cant find in my memory a more ferocious, dominant and fearless competitive couple. You can not only see it but you feel their hunger to win. Besides their superior technical skills and fitness.on a phycological level they seem to have their opposition beat before they even start. I'm sure 10 years at the top and reputation may have something to do with that. But that's a challenge for their opposition to overcome. There are a few things about R&Y dancing that don't quite sit well with me but their competitive spirit and drive however is something all competition dancers should aspire to. Unless another couple can step up and show some real grit and challenge them on a mental level I don't seen anyone who can take their No1 spot from them any time soon. I'm always happy when Riccardo ditches the bling though. I don't think diamantes suit him all that well. But then I don't feel they suit most male dancers either, especially when they're just thrown on their costumes without any real design or thought behind it. No stoning work is always better than ugly stoning and there's alot of ugly decoration on the floor. Male and female. Just my personal opinion.
I do strongly believe a psychological aspect plays a major role in any sport. When you carry that type of momentum of traveling and competition appearances it puts you into a league all your own. Sacrifice is the key, how much are you willing to give up or risk? I am a believer of ZERO holidays until you accomplish your goals. As soon as are off the floor they are on a flight off to the next comp, show or lessons. That type of work ethic is what I admire most in an individual!
They are definitely in a league of their own. And that cannot be taught or practiced, one has to be born with it. All couples sacrifice so much and be aggressive but r&y surpass them all. Also, donny burns has coached them for a long time, so I guess that ha something to do with the success of r&y. You mentioned that there are some things that don’t sit well with you in terms of their dancing, what are they?
