The earth roamer is still my 1st pick as I looked long and hard for a practical all around off road vehicle. I have ordered one and it should be ready in October 2019. Not cheap and I have everything on it plus a few things. I added an atmospheric water maker, faraday cages around sensitive electronics and a camera that folds down on the roof with 360 degree viewing with night vision for an additional 10 foot that can extend up to 20 feet above the roof. Not to knock the other vehicles but seriously they look mostly like dump trucks. Its also easy to service and parts are easily available. I am very excited to explore with the earth roamer.
Faraday cages? You must be the richest prepper ever. Not talking junk just saying that beast you ordered cant have been cheap, and it doesnt strike me as a prepper rig but if you are worried about an emp then you must be a prepper.
Seems the Mercedes Unimog is the go-to beginning for a number of these creations. I like the idea of having space for the motorcycles that a few of these gad. I suppose it'd come down to what you wanted and where you intended to go. Don't forget your checkbook!
Reminds me of a definition I once heard for 4-wheel drive: "A marvelous innovation that enables ordinary people to get stuck in MUCH more inaccessible places than they could get stuck in before." I'm guessing most of the non-commercial buyers of these things have more money than sense, and they rarely drive them over anything more challenging than an ordinary dirt road. Getting one of these TO any place that's not right next door would be a huge hassle or a massive fuel expense. And what about PERMITS? Many of the wonderful places one might access with such vehicles will not allow Joe Six Pack and his Wilderness Assault Vehicle to just start rambling through the wilderness so as to boldly camp where no man has camped before. These are far too luxurious for most commercial, institutional, and governmental use, and way too expensive for most of the people who might actually make use of their full capabilities.
If just the number 9 had enclosed bathroom, then I would be in love!!! So, it's probably number 8 or 5 I would go with for a large expedition vehicle - although number 1 is pretty cool! Number 7, is simply too slow on ordinary road, but awesome off-road capabilities! Number 4 is the best of the two "smaller" vehicle, although clearly not as effective off-road as number 7!
Number 1 - The Desert Challenger looked to be the easiest & coolest to drive. The leather accessories however, are kinda foolish. But I did like the layout. Thanks for another super video.
claverhouse1 yes. I have but I was thinking about the living area. But why wouldn’t you want leather for cleanability? Off my rocker that day. Oops! Thanks for pointing out my faux pas.
But... Ford does not make a 4x4, taking that big of a vehicle off-road is not bright. Taking a vehicle with Fords reliability off-road where no tow trucks are available is insanity. You might want to rethink that statement. LOL!
Chris Brackenbury - No, just no. 1. It isn’t a 4x4 as Ford DOES NOT MAKE A 4x4, every model has open differentials, women have rear limited slip diffs. Get a front wheel on ice, you need a tow truck. 2. A F550 has about the same turning radius as an F250-550. You may be thinking of a Jeeps awesome turning radius.
That last one was the best for me ...was it with that cook ...or not ??? ....lol.But those AT vehicle's men I love it (many years back in the time I built a DODGE W200 into a all Terrain all weather vehicle and visit Sweden/Finland I loved it every second of it) Now aday's I drive a grand jeep it's nice but no DODGE W200. THNXS for the upload and your time and efforts. Happy new year ( little early I know but but at least I got the worm......lol)
On a pragmatic level, this and the 8 wheel shaman are my favorites, except in the shaman I'd like more of a live in cabin; and on the one saying Action Mobile, I'd insist on cabin to cab access, what with all the nut cases roaming. I would want to be able to get away without having to leave the cabin to get to the cab.
lol at 3:49 it looks like a flat. I laughed so hard on the #1/last one.. Based on a missile carrier... REALLY... with pop outs and all ;).. I loved video. TY
ken rdz He’s just the only member of the staff that they could legally show us. 🥴😉 Security team has many gun ports and roof turret. One member actually drives so you can relax. Chef is also a Doctor. Oh, and we can’t forget the massage therapist after a long day on the adventure bike. 😎
I love to have one 6x6 or 8x8 motor homes good for 6 person can be adjusted low for highways higher elevating chassis for off road road My dream My wish hope to come true while I still can drive
I can hide from banditos with my old carburated ADV motorbike pretty easy in the bush or park it in Central American hotel rooms and lobbies. Just cover it w an old crappy tarp. Oh, and I get 45mpg. That means more beer: Galo, Salva Vita, Tona, and fried iguana from Tip Top Chicken and Iguana. I like to keep a low profile so I don't have every lowlife in a village eyeing how expensive my crap is. The more dents in my gas tank, the dirtier my fenders are (but w fresh clean oiled chain and proper adjusted valves), the better.
I would love to have the desert challenger but i have this thing about my motor home having strobes all over it.that and it was designed to carry missiles that were once aimed at the United States lol
Mistie, Occasionally, after leaving a grocery store, some scold chastises us for wasted this or that with our ExpeditionVehicle. Our response: * "How many mpg do you get in your apartment?"
all good, great even, but none of a hybrid-electric engine type! and that's a no-no for me! besides, they're all too huge and heavy, making them impractical in terms of parking space when in the city and even not so fit for off-road adventure in many 'tight' wild country areas ...
Serious question. Who buys and uses these? And for what purpose? I would think that if you’re needing to drive this in a certain area, the natives of that area would wait until you leave your fortress to steal or try to break in.
RadioFree, In View From A Cab, the couple left their ExpeditionVehicle in a SoudAfrka parking-lot for a stroll along the beach. . An hour later, they returned to discover their interior trashed, feces everyplace, pretty much destroyed. Monkeys. Got in through the sky-light.
The problem is that these vehicles are made to be able to take you to places where, by definition, civilisation is scarce and poverty often runs rampant. Showing up in any of these places in these über-pricey vehicles scream «I have cash, rob me».

Craig, 2003, we converted a 1996 commercial truck to our concept of an ExpeditionVehicle. Our GVWR -- 29,000#. Nearly two decades full-time live-aboard. Twenty-four months twenty-four thousand miles around South America. Alaska, Panama, all over North and Central America. Summers up rough logger tracks to remote mountain lakes. Winters on isolated Baja beaches. . As a RecreateVehicle, we can travel anyplace with a basic license for a sedan. . 1993, we converted a 30' semi-trailer to an RV, our toter was a 1974 Chevrolet cab-over. We traveled internationally and all over the western US. Licensed as RecreateVehicles, we traveled1993-96 with a station-wagon operator license. . Another of our commercial truck conversions was a 1984 Peterbilt semi-tractor with a condo. Again, licensed as an RV. Again, traveled with a basic operator license. . Your "Most of these vehicles require..." is inaccurate and misleading.
way to big way to heavy! for that price you can use carbon fiber frame sheeting! and more power under hood, minium of 2kw solar 12volt frig, ac/heat, lights, water pump, hot water heater!
8:07 " ps" my favorte part. Love the rv content
Each are Totally amazing. I love #3 and #5

By far the most impressive was the 6 wheel job that could go over water and muck! All the others have to stick to hard dry ground.
I'd agree, but with 75km/hr top speed it'll take a LOT of patience to get to the wild :-) and 25lt/100km ? too impractical for the road i'm afraid
I think it is made more for professional explorers where it would be carried on a flatbed to the area where the exploration was to be done. @@cnrom
For No. 1. The MAN TGM is the chassis, you actually showed several different camper set ups from various vehicle outfitters on this chassis.
굿 👍
This was the best video to date. Amazing vehicles.
I could really do plenty with #7, it actually looks built for the trip into the wilderness, that's what I would spend serious lotto win on this one!!!
I really liked these truck motorhome which only for forest roughness landscape but for snow and desert area!
Earth roamer! 💚💚

Yup. In other words, just rich people saying "look at my wealth"
Indeed .
I like #8,#5 I feel safe and quality THAT I need to travel.
Better insides than I thought! ‘Roughing’ it no longer applies here!
Good job on video Minds Eye!!!
If just the number 9 had enclosed bathroom, then I would be in love!!!

You have never owned a car with leather seats?
claverhouse1 yes. I have but I was thinking about the living area. But why wouldn’t you want leather for cleanability? Off my rocker that day. Oops! Thanks for pointing out my faux pas.
The Beast at number one looks awesome
Excelentes vehículos
Sip
I want the earthroamer!!
You buy one of these when you're young, drive it everywhere until you get old and wherever it finally breaks down is where you settle and retire.
👍😄😎. Cool 😎
I enjoyed this video.
The Earth roamer is the best truck for the buck give a nice truck it is one amazing vehicle
Great video display !!
Beautiful monsters
I'd like to see anyone of these "expedition" vehicles go through Death Valley's Steele Pass or Lippincott Pass.
Awesome looking vehicles!!
these look great but how much does all these cost about
The repurposed missile truck camper was epic!
The ford f550 one was my favorite...
But... Ford does not make a 4x4, taking that big of a vehicle off-road is not bright. Taking a vehicle with Fords reliability off-road where no tow trucks are available is insanity. You might want to rethink that statement. LOL!
Sure its a 4x4 has a better turning radius then my f150
Chris Brackenbury - No, just no. 1. It isn’t a 4x4 as Ford DOES NOT MAKE A 4x4, every model has open differentials, women have rear limited slip diffs. The last thing you want on an expedition vehicle is air suspension. Just not robust enough and when then break you are fucked...
that ford is the least offroader on the lest it can't be compared to MAN truck or a Unimog
I like #4
That last one was the best for me ...was it with that cook ...or not ??? ....lol.But those AT vehicle's men I love it (many years back in the time I built a DODGE W200 into a all Terrain all weather vehicle and visit Sweden/Finland I loved it every second of it) Now aday's I drive a grand jeep it's nice but no DODGE W200. Nice compilation ! ! !

Number 4!

Number one is awesome , I'll take two please .
I'LL take # 11 !!
interesting videos, Thanks
Nice video , Thanks 😐
lol at 3:49 it looks like a flat. I laughed so hard on the #1/last one.. Based on a missile carrier... REALLY... with pop outs and all ;).. I loved video. TY
I take no 4. I like the Ford body style.
number 3 and 4 iare my favorites
Супер
I miss Reacher [buries sobbing face in pillow].
You are not the only one!!!!!!
The shaman can be camper? motor home?or anything sorry I don't know camper or motor home
I like the Unimog 6 X 6 I wonder if they could make them like that in Australia?
All pretty cool, but I'll just keep my 89 F250 IDI with my free aluminum topper, that way I can buy fuel.
7:27 and pause. must be cold in that camper.
Earthroamer HD is the best..
i did wait only for your smile
Like the video! Love Cassie!
No.1 comes with a freaking chef @12:17
ken rdz
He’s just the only member of the staff that they could legally show us. 🥴😉
Security team has many gun ports and roof turret. One member actually drives so you can relax. Chef is also a Doctor.
Oh, and we can’t forget the massage therapist after a long day on the adventure bike. 😎
I’ll take the Ford. Been dreaming about that rig for years.
I like off road
Some of these look like they could topple over with a breath of wind. Not this one 4:14, I love this one!
Most of these conversions are done on CabOver MAN Trucks that are now owned by VW Corporation
I love to have one 6x6 or 8x8 motor homes good for 6 person can be adjusted low for highways higher elevating chassis for off road road My dream My wish hope to come true while I still can drive
Number 2 for me 😳
Dear Santa ;)
Opps you answered my question. Thx
Would love to here prices.
I want too buy

Manuel,
Agreed.
Our home-built ExpeditionVehicle is 'half beat to death' looking... and utterly reliable.
Can mount my Stinger missles ok then?
@7:27 nice..
THE GLOBE CRUISER IS IDEAL BUTTTTTT CAN I AFFORD THE GAS? THAT IS THE QUESTION? LOL
This is legit straight up some kind of research truck 2:14
I would love to have the desert challenger but i have this thing about my motor home having strobes all over it.that and it was designed to carry missiles that were once aimed at the United States lol
Buen video!! Ojala los subieras en español ... Aunque fuera con loquendo!
I wish they spent more time showing the interior in many of these.
Tip Aly me too!
Cassie 👍
Very nice but what mileage do you get
Mistie,
Occasionally, after leaving a grocery store, some scold chastises us for wasted this or that with our ExpeditionVehicle.

Did he say "kensworth"?

I prezzi e dove li trovo?
niiice
would be cool to test them out in Central Asia Kyrgyzstan
I got one 🙏
Some of the biggest ones probably wouldn't be legal in The United States
Michael,
To which of these RVs (aka 'ones') are you referring?
Serious question. Who buys and uses these? And for what purpose? I would think that if you’re needing to drive this in a certain area, the natives of that area would wait until you leave your fortress to steal or try to break in.

FORGET BUYING A HOUSE, I CHOSE TO LIVE IN NUMBER 2
Why am I watching I can’t even afford next month house rent. Lol.
Inspiration? Motivation? Dreams? Goals? You got this I believe in you. Your elevator only goes up.
What's the point of all the info without price range?
0:46 It's a converted garbage truck.
1:47 looks like we should send it to mars
7 to go in the water, and 1 just cuz...
The 100ft wheelbase of that ford just dosent look reliable enough for an off road beast camper
Too much box for the truck.

Most of these require at worst a Class A non commercial drivers license. The rest couldnt even be driven without a Class B. Food for thought.

Is Coti a robot?
The Unimog 6X6 ... Is that a custom build? The vehicle ... not the camper!!!

Camping the way it was meant to be...
If you get stuck in sand or deep mud in one of those mothers, you'll need 5 other trucks to get pulled
out.
