Yep, all of the bikes you featured have that special quality of naked beauty that is so appealing in aesthetics and ride experience. I would put any of those in my living room. You’re new sportster is gorgeous! Such a good choice to add to the collection. Looking forward to the rides and your thoughts as you get familiar with it. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
I will be happy when spring arrives and I can do some longer rides on the BMW. The good thing about going with the Harley is there is a big dealership nearby and several good, small shops that work on Harleys. The Sportster will be around for a while to come, even if HD terminates the lineup.
It won't be above zero for several days here in NE MN. Windchill warnings of -50F through Tuesday. I'm living vicariously through riders like you. Keep of the great work. I almost traded my cruiser for a GS at Dennis Dillion Powesports in the middle of a 3500 mile ride, but we just couldn't get together on price. Love the Sporty!
Congrats on the new bike! Don't know how you ride in the cold up there without a windscreen and hand protection! I'm in central California where the temps are in the mid 50's to low 60's this February and I'm still hiding behind the fairing and screen on my BMW RT!!! I'm looking forward to seeing you out and about throughout the year on your new Harley as I always look forward to your videos!
Sweet looking bike. I got up this morning with the idea to take our Sportster out for a ride. You just further inspired me. Look forward to seeing more videos of your Sportster in action.
Hello Wheel Stories, nice to see you on your first ride with the HD, I appreciate these puristic air-cooled motors. I am sure you will have a lot of fun with it, I look forward to more. Many greetings
Hi Wheels, Congratulations on satisfying one of your long term passions. Looking forward to your videos as your explore familiar areas on your new ride. In the meantime, stay safe.
Beautiful job. I bought an '04 R1150R a couple months ago, and I've been enjoying the ID scenery through your vids. My dad had a couple of Sportsters back in the '90s, and they were a lot of fun. I hope that you enjoy it. I'm sure it will be more fun after 500 miles! I'm loving the scruffy look.
Thanks, will do! I need to do something about the scruffy look eventually. My coworkers are starting to comment and rib me about the hair. Have fun on the R1150R. The BMW is a versatile ride.
Nice.... i like the sportsters, but to smal fueltank..! I would sell one of the R1150r an buy a R Nine T 50 jahre edition for sunny sundays..👍 r nine T’s are such an sexy bikes!! Would you replace the exhaust of the sportster for a Remus pipe..?
The R Nine T is a beautiful motorcycle. Down the road maybe. Not sure about the pipe yet. The stock pipe is rather quiet. I plan to ride the bike for a while before making any expensive modifications. Make sure I'm happy with the purchase. Thanks for watching.
Congratulations wheels i dig sportsters owned 4 through the years I believe they are the best designed engine compact correct valve train 4 cams way lighter than a big twin enjoy brother greetings from Oregon variety is fun ive three in my garage Honda xr650l, 1974 bmw r60/6, 2007 heritage softail stay safe
I can't wait to do more riding on the sportster. It's a fun bike with personality. Looks like you've got all the bases covered with your stable of motorcycles. And you've got some of the best riding roads in the country over in Oregon. Thanks for watching.
Nice Harley you have there, am not such a big Harley fan but this one seems very nice, especially with some upgrades to the suspension, a new Harley is here in the Netherlands very expensive, you can also buy a nice BMW, such a Harley Davidson Roadster XL1200CX costs here all standard a 16 k and then what you want to modify it, those lighter models 883 and 1200 are perished with the euro 5 emissions standards. I hope to buy a BMW R1200GS this year , a 2nd hand , new is too expensive . wants a DOHC the last air/oil cooled , this weekend I will not tour with the R850R that is safely in winter storage , we get a lot of snow a 10 to 15 inches and sub artic temperatures , yesterday I put the winter tires under the car . looking forward to the next video
Harleys are expensive here as well but not that expensive. BMWs are pricey too. I think I've purchased my last new bike. If I buy another, it will be second hand. Sounds like the EU is forcing motorcycles to be liquid cooled. I like the simplicity of an air cooled bike. Thanks for watching.
Had a 883 a number of years ago,i probably would have killed my self on it the way i was riding, loved the bike though, only bike iv'e ever owned that i could flat foot, stay safe see you in the next on WS.
Thanks and hoping to present a new video soon. The Sportster is taking some getting accustomed to; a lot different from my BMWs. I like that the HD Roadster stands tall with more suspension travel than other Sportsters. But still a stiff ride compared to the BMW.
Can’t wait till it’s riding season in Alaska. I always enjoy your videos and you have inspired me to try recording some of my favorite places to ride around Alaska this summer and post them to RUclips. Quick question, where and how do you mount your microphone for such awesome engine sound?
Thanks for watching and posting the question. I'm actually using the audio recorded by my GoPro on the chest mount. It works okay as long as I'm not traveling fast enough to generate a lot of wind noise. At higher speeds, the wind becomes the dominant sound.
WoW
Nice looking bike, nice sound too!!!
Your lucky , you can ride in winter !
Enjoy! Tks for sharing
Thanks 👍

That’s the exact bike that I would like to find!
Riding in January in Idaho! That's awesome. Looking forward to seeing more from the HD. Enjoy!
More to come! Thanks.

It's sunny out today but only about 40 degrees. Contemplating another quick spin but need to dress like you're going out for a snowmobile ride.
Excellent video! Great scenery, and congrats on your new scoot she is beautiful
Thank you very much!
Looking forward to more rides this Summer!
Can't wait!

@@WheelStories they don't like power full bikes at all,
Congratulations on the new bike, nice color. And unfortunately a better sound than the BMW.
