You definitely won't be disappointed. If you are coming from a traditional style phone, it's a game changer. If you are coming from a fold 2 or 3, it's a great update.
I regularly use split-screen on the outer screen, but I'm used to it because I used an Xperia compact phone for years and the extra vertical size in the fold is really good in that scenario.

Great review. Very informative. If you will have a chance can you show an extended example of webbrowsing on this phone? I have watched like 20 reviews of this phone and literary no one shows web browsing on internal screen. I don't know why. Everyone only show multitasking on split screen. Can you compare mobile and desktop mode when browsing and show how the same webpages look on Fold5 and normal slab phone? This type of comparisons are nowhere to be found.
the cover display is just perfect for me in this size (i had a s22 ultra before the fold5) my only regret is the pen is not compatible with the cover display..
It's not a downgrade. But honestly if the ultra made you happy with battery life and stylus I would really think hard. To get a stylus for the fold 5 it's an extra 100. Battery life is worse. Case is used with a type of glue for the front screen. Honestly if your clumsy or not very careful the fold isn't for you. But if you want the extra stuff like a tablet and phone and you take care of the phone well and willing to spend an extra 100 for the case and stylus then yea it's worth it. But for the common user I wouldn't recommend it. I own the fold 5 and love it. But it isn't for common users. If you DO BUY this phone i'd recommend getting it through samsung and getting samsung care plus for best protection. If your just a regular smart phone user do NOT GO FOR THIS PHONE!!! THIS PHONE ISNT FOR EVERYONE
for Vlog the flip5 has same fonctionalty with external camera and external screen, and will be smaller than the fold5 for on the go activity. I took a fold5 for me and flip5 for my wife, for selfie the flip5 is quicker and easier to manipulate than fold 5 (with same photo quality)
I have the z fold 5 with 512gb storage. I traded in my fold 4 for this phone. Ive been using this phone for about a month now. Its great. A bit better on battery life but not by much. "Smaller interactions with the cover display" is BS. I use the smaller display for everything. The only time i open the phone is when im taking photos or watching youtube or need to make a long reply to someone. I personally had issues with brightness when its really sunnu and the sun is in your face. I disagree with the smaller usage. Also with me being at work i watch youtube on the smaller screen with it being hinged. I disagree with this guy besides the multitasking. Play with it bro. Besides multitasking take the time to eat some food and use the hinge to watch youtube. With the main display its a bit better. But not by much. Please please relook at this phone and take more time playing with this phone. The "cover display" does a lot more than your saying. I agree with the crease part. Seriously take some time to play with the smaller screen. With your phone closed go to youtube, start a video and slightly open the phone to slant to watch. It is awesome. Please try that and rework this video. Ive played with this phone alot. The phone is good for on the go. Text editing is good. I really recommend relooking at your research. Especially the smaller screen. The rear cameras ARE the best. But try to have the phone closed, open youtube, click a video, and pull the phone apart at a 45 or less degree and its literally a stand by itself. Hope this helps!!!
I had the pro max 13, and the S22 Ultra before my Z fold 5. And imo Z fold 5 is easily the best. I love multi tasking and use it almost daily. And i love that i can put a privacy screen protector on the display screen, without sacraficing visability when i need it, due to having a large screen on the inside with no protector. This phone for me has truely been the jack of all trades, master of all for me. That being said, my adivce to people who have had apple for 10+ years and is almost always to stick with apple. Most people just arent willing to learn a new opperating system once they have gotten comfortable with apple, and learning the os and making the most of it are two different things. If youre an apple user who values ease of use, then stick with that, but if you really want to optomize your ability to be chronically online, the fold 5 cant be beat.
Absolutely fold 5. I had apple phones since iPhone 4 and then a couple of Samsung notes during the years, I am currently an iPhone owner and every year is exactly the same F ing phone! They might improve a bit the cameras but that’s it, I wouldn’t think twice and actually Samsung fold is gonna be my next phone. My point is: is iPhone a good phone? Yes it’s absolutely great, software, hardware and quality of the materials is wow but like I have to get a new phone now and I am not gonna spend all of those money to get basically the same phone I had for the last past years, apple fun boys can say whatever they want is the same bloody phone. Also the 1st thing I missed when I switched back to apple was the multitasking, I cannot listen or watch to a RUclips video if I wanna do something else. Another thing is Face ID I prefer much more the fingerprint sensor that you can unlock in any position you are it’s definitively much more comfortable.

I've had mine for a couple of weeks now and I love it. No problems using the front screen and no doubts about the durability.

Once you get passed the initial frustration of leaning and getting used to a different OS, you are going to really love the Fold.
Hey there , try looking directly at the main display selfless camera to unlock the phone should does the work for face recognition
You can program it to work that way. I wouldn't recommend it. I unlocked all phones with photos. Best option is fingerprint scanner

Web browsing is amazing on the fold 5 IMO.

They are supposed to fold completely flat (180 degrees)
mine really open at 180 (with the original silicon case with s pen inside)

15 Pro Max or Fold 5?
