The pogada realm is challenging, no doubt. But difficulties comes in all shapes and sizes; not just difficult boss battles. There's a lot you missed in Chapter 2, so you might want to revisit there someday. Once you get past this pagoda realm, this Chapter is one of the best if not the best. Many secret passages you could miss, so make sure you complete any quests that is given to you. It's a joy to watch you play, Wukong in particular.
It was the sound that effected you, which would bring down your health-bar yet significantly increased your attack power. There is a curio in this level which would also give you similar effect when you trigger Cloud Step (-80HP, but 10% attack increase), you would need to kill all 9 Lantern Monsters in this lvl to get this curio, and they only appear during the sound effect. The sound effect is produced by a boss, it would never appear if you kill the boss, but you would no longer get to see the Lantern Monsters either.
