"When your mind is going hither and thither, discrimination will never be brought to a conclusion. With an intense, fresh and undelaying spirit, one will make his judgments within the space of seven breaths. It is a matter of being determined and having the spirit to break right through to the other side.”

you mentioned addressing symptoms vs. the root cause. I look at addressing the symptoms can buy time to address the root cause to develop a more holistic decision and permanent resolution

The absolute best way is to eliminate the “TIME” factor ….
There are far to many things in this world that will NOT impact any eventuality if they wait .
IF The decision is NOT “LIFE or DEATH” Then It CAN WAIT and Time pressure is NOT required .

In a true leadership position, you can usually delegate someone to perform a battle drill on "autopilot," which frees up your own mental resources. The other person(s) might be responsible for driving and navigating safely, or doing preliminary research in order to properly consider the full range of options to select from eventually.

@@petarniciforovic6543 Unless tomorrow is too late to defuse the bomb or save the kids. Use battle drills that allow for less damage that will complete the mission on time. Uvaldie Texas comes to mind.

Truth is best because it free's u of any fear truth is empowering. it makes everyone respect you far more. especially the hard truth answers. "DID U F##K HER?" Yes I did.
etc.. perhaps u break up but she will respect your honesty. same applies on a small team be honest with your leaders. they will respect your honesty.

Thank you, will do. (although that is the approach I have myself started applying recently, a few months ago).
There are many reasons/excuses to view truth as foolish and weak, but eventually, it is one of the greatest virtues one can hold.

For me the best method (very simplified) is to not get in to the time pressure situation :) Be foresight. It not always works 'couse you can't predict everything but it's good enough. Thanks for the video! Greetings! :)

I highly recommend the use of a Planning or Decision Matrix. I have used it for planning a move from an old to new police station, a traffic safety plan for a major sporting event, etc.

Thank you so much for your content. After 11 years in the military being unable to reenlist from injuries resulting in a dead mans permanent profile, losing my 3 year old daughter and getting divorced all in the short period left me struggling to figure out my way in life. I still am 10 years later but your information has helped me try to transition into a regular life. HOOAH!
