Great tutorial. I will try this with my 5700. Will have to watch again. Also need more kestrel videos. Keep up the great work.

15:49 When you want to capture seperate degrees of fire, instead of going through menus of each target, you can just press the red "capture" button on each target to get the DoF

Ive found it takes a lot less time to just enter targets with a TerrapinX. Got to find them anyway, not bad to just capture them real quick.

Thanks for explaining using sectors in the Kestral. I’ll try it this weekend at a one day match. Please tell me the brand of clamp with a cold shoe one you are using for your Kestral..I cant find one who’s jaws open wide enough for vertical clamping

It would be nice to get better info on capturing wind for all targets. I can’t ever seem to get it to work correctly on the Kestral

Honestly this is one of the major reasons I've moved away from a Kestrel. The UI is super clunky, the compass is unreliable, and mass updating wind speed and direction is not user friendly. I generally use GeoBallistics now and grab the conditions from a Kestrel. I still like to grab G7 data from the AB Library, but there's cheaper routes to get access to that library.

What happens when the 2 day match you go to doesn't provide a match book? 😉😅

      Who would do that?

BTW, Have you ever seen that at a PRS match before?

@@winninginthewindKRG Windbreaker. And no, I haven't seen that before (I've shot matches from the West Coast, Midwest, Central, and East Coast) 🤷🏾‍♂️
TBH, the lack of a matchbook wasn't a big deal, just inconvenient when you're trying to stage prep (especially if you're first up 😅).

Waiting for a made in China kestrel that can store hundreds of profiles.

Why wait? 4DOF, GeoBallistics, and AB Mobile already can. Pull weather from a cheap meter or local weather station and you're into it for under $50
