    Great video brings back memory's of doing lifts , thought 20 ton jacks must be on limit ,we used 35 ton jacks

    Its always impressive when you see a 120 ton locomotive being lifted 8 foot in the air. That bogie must weigh around 12-15 tons?.

    I'm assuming that 261 has a better bodyshell as it was almost totally stripped when it was at Barrow hill. 214 looks badly corroded so presumably that's why 261 is the better bet?

      the wheels on 261s bogies maybe thin, wheels on 214s bogies maybe thicker.
