This is unbelievably helpful. Thank you. I know my way around the site editor but I'm not the best at persuasion lol. I may have to watch through this a second time. What makes a compelling "About Us/Me" page?
Glad you liked it! Content is king, and so is the layout. This guide here: wordpress.com/blog/2020/03/09/turning-a-page-with-page-layouts/ may be useful in the composition of that content.
Hi I watched yesterday and then tried to implement today while rewatching. And found it really interesting, but I can't find alot of the features. Could it be that I am in the UK and they aren't available here? Sorry I didn't get chance to ask yesterday, but I hope you'll see this comment anyway. Things like the blog post block and being able to widen the photos. Hope you can point me in the right direction. Thanks Alison
Hi there, it's possible that you are using a theme that does not support the full width option, not all do. In your case if it's an older theme this may be a good time to update, since most WordPress themes released in the last few years (in the time since the block editor was launched) will fully support all block options. If you are thinking of updating we recommend our webinar on fearless theme switching, which is also in this playlist. The Blog Posts block is specific to WordPress.com but you can use the Query Loop block, which does the same thing. Check out our Custom Blog Pages webinar (also in this playlist) where we cover that block in more detail.
Thank you for all informations. I have a question concerning the law. If i'm using wordpress but i'm business is located in france would that answer to all French regulation such as Data Protection Regulation, article 88 Finance Law and Hamon's law? Thank you for clarification.
VERY HELPFUL, thanks! just have a conflict with theme and beta block editor. Why I can't change my color background in my homepage, but I can change it in my theme (Zoologist)? It says I need to be premium(:
Hi there, yes on WordPress.com you do need to upgrade to the Premium plan to be able to make global style changes to the theme (background color, site-wide typography, etc.) but under the free plan you can choose an existing theme that has the background color you like as a starting point. The block layout methods shown in the webinar will work with any block-compatible theme.
Why do you ALL have to bury me under an avalanche of "I'm going to go ahead and..." After the four hundredth time in five minutes it gets really painful to hear. It I were an oyster, I would build a peal around it ad never be irritated by it again~!
Thank's a lot for this webinar
Thanks so much! This was a big help! Well done!
This was amazingly helpful!! Thank you so much. Great to have it recorded so that I can stop and replay parts. Great job 🙂
Glad it helped!
Love the info, but from the onset could not find the "page without title" option? Thank you!
I have the same issue.
Thank you WordPress 🙂🙌
You're welcome 😊
