Thanks so much, I know I tell you all the time how much we appreciate your support and it still holds true. I desperately want to get back to making the how to videos . We have just been so busy and there is only so much time, I know you understand. Thanks again my friend!
@@coolness8891 Thanks for the kind words my friend! Maybe we will run across each other at a supply house someday . Thanks so much for watching our video!!
Awesome video, thank you for posting. I am replacing my thermal expansion tank and noticed that the new tank does not hold air when pressurized to 55psi. I don't think the air on these is supposed to leak past the diaphragm when new. I noticed it by chance when I went to install it, pressure dropped by 15psi in 30min. Poured some water down the 3/4" and noticed heavy air bubbles, back to the store...
All the variety of things for viewing on the internet have only proven that what we really like is watching plumbing, carpentry, woodworking, and luthiery and other trades like that. Because the most amazing thing is always going to be what we make and do with our hands and tools. Silly fancy production value comedy videos do not actually exist, but keeping a family with the ability to bathe, cook, and wash clothes is something real.
Use 2 pair of wrenches so not to twist the copper or cut off the copper or what ever kind of pipe you have and add a new female adapter, then screw on the new tank:)
@@TappPlumbing makes sense. It seems there’s a ton of rust/old wear on it so very challenging to unscrew, even now. I’ve already added 2 coats of liquid wrench penetrating oil. Still challenging to unscrew lol
Is it ok to add liquid wrench or any other methods to loosen it up? Mine will not even budge and it’s in a poor location where you can’t get much leverage or angles
@@rhysvanderschelden8222 I would try to use it sparingly and clean up any excess before you turn any wrench. You don’t want that to get in your water system. It is ridiculous how difficult the original plumber can make things so difficult to maintain. Some of the new install guys never do any service work. Keep me posted please.
@@eugenenichols4910 This became an issue in homes when people figured out because of the dual check valves at the meters the systems had no way to control expansion. I used to torch only to illustrate what happens, it just made the effect occur instantly. The same thing happens in the system, it is just not as dramatic.
@@foleydave26 No worries my brother! I thought you knew all along I was just messing with ya. You did read my comment about having the utmost respect for what you do I hope . Carpenter work requires a crazy amount of intelligence and is super demanding on your body. Stay injury free out there !
@TappPlumbing I respect your trade as well bro. You guys get paid way better than carpenters because it's a dirty tough job as well. Hope the best for your business buddy. I pray you gain wealth with your skills bro
Simply love your videos and how much you care enough to educate others

Thank you for the vids. Can you help with fixing error E4 on AO Smith?
Probably something to do with the flow meter, are you extremely handy?
Great video
Thanks for the kind wand for watching!!
Hey, tried to screw off the tank and it seems too tight: any way to proceed with this?

Older homes didn't have them and when are your lines going to naturally heat to the temp of a torch? So like fr what's the purpose?

My expansion tank is slowly dripping water and also from the pvc pipe
Does it look like you have plenty of room to get the tank off and get things taken care of?
Nice job on the video buddy. Sorry about the other comment. No need for me to be a dick head.
