I have the Denon AVR-X3700H, Am looking to get a External amplifier, My top 2 choices are this Rotel 1585, Or The Emotiva XPA-DR3 Reference Three-Channel Power Amplifier, I know the Rotel 1585 has 5ch at 200 watts per ch at 8omh, And the Emotiva is a 3ch at 450watts per ch at 8omh, Any recommendations?
The Rotel will sound better than the Emotiva and perhaps give you the ability to bi-amp / bi-wire two of the speakers. Also consider the Anthem 3-Channel power amps

Hi Nicholas. Yes - The 1585 has more than enough power for the speakers. However, it is a 5 channel power amp, so it is generally used in an AV set upo.
