    "You went to the gym today, and guess what, you still suck." - Claressa Shields
    As funny as that is, it's a good motivator if you're training for the right reason. You gotta love something enough to be bad at it. Keep training. You won't stay bad at it.

      You serious? She said they put her in top 10 with the men. Every top 50 male boxer would slaughter her.

    • @geoffreytasker2097
      @geoffreytasker2097 15 дней назад +12

      @TJTOPBOY you got so caught up in that statement you ignored everything else. she also spoke in this same interview how she loss to a man she was sparing against multiple times before she finally beat him. she's obviously not saying she'd beat the men in the top 20+
      she's saying she is one of the top 10 boxers to ever do it. but saying that doesn't mean she is saying as a woman she'd beat anyone she ranks under her, she's saying that in terms of skill and accomplishments she's one of the best. and stat wise she is not wrong.
      like serena williams isn't seen just as the the best female tennis player ever, she's seen as one of the best tennis players ever. same concept.

    • @407cedricbad
      @407cedricbad 15 дней назад +5

      Bro… she’s very arrogant… she said she could outbox Keith Thurman… a world champion boxer who has 1 lost.. granted yes she is very accomplished and has skills but she makes it seem like she’s a ko artist. She has 3 pro kos. When she got kod in sparring by a male she gave every excuse in the book on why she got kod instead of taking the L

    • @TJTOPBOY
      @TJTOPBOY 15 дней назад +2

      @@geoffreytasker2097 no because now you are putting men and women in the same category and that’s wrong. She is one of of best if not the best female boxer granted, but let’s not put her in the same breath as male boxers, that’s absurd. We can’t compare a man’s achievement to a woman’s achievements, that’s not how it works.
      If that is the case then stick her in the ring with male boxers and see how she gets on.

    • @geoffreytasker2097
      @geoffreytasker2097 15 дней назад +3

      @TJTOPBOY to say she is the greatest woman of all time but not want to say she's one of the greatest boxers of all time is trying to protect egos that don't need protecting. Of course a lower skills male can beat her but that's mostly because men are stronger. That doesn't mean they all out skill her and have better fight IQs. There's more to it than strength and power. That's what I'm recognizing. Not if she can physically beat them

    If you're like me and come from a striking martial art background but have never had the experience of grappling or rolling in Jiu Jitsu, I highly recommend you try it. Before I tried it, I thought my martial art background would count for something, but as it turned out, it counted for next to nothing and I was shocked at how ridiculously fast I could be submitted by a higher level bjj player. The only thing that translated a little from striking martial arts into grappling was simply being in shape and a little tough, because fighting off submission attempts can be exhausting, especially when you're not efficient with your energy yet. Anyway, just go to a class and try for yourself if you haven't yet.

      claressas an amazing boxer. but let's be honest. allmost every MMA fighter has come from one specific sport. wrestling, kickboxing, judo, bjj.
      boxing is probably one ofbthe least of the sports to transition. at claressas age now. she won't ever get to the top 5 or 10 because it's going to take YEARS for her to learn what she needs to get good. by that time she will probably be mid 30s and be one of the older chick's.
      had claressa decided to drop boxing and train mma full time 3 or so years ago we could deffinatly probably see her be competitive but she's still to into her boxing career to commit.

Amanda got whooped by Juliana Pena the first time they fought,she got beat up on the feet with jabs and short wild hooks , she couldn't see the jabs or hooks or the 1-2's coming at all ! Clarissa would probably knock her out with just a continuous 1-2 early in round 1 or 2 🤷🏽‍♂️

    If you watched CLaressa Shields most recent MMA fight she had a really hard time getting off the ground when her opponent took her down. and tbh her opp looked kinda amatuerish like she had a 2-2 record in the regional mma scene. Claressa had moments of piecing her up with the hands a little which is what got her to win but it was a really close fight due to the wrestling. im sure almost any female ufc fighter would give her problems. boxing only is completely another story tho, i would def side with Shields on that
