I like it when in movies or song it is translated literally and then with a translation note what it means in the context with some cultural and language explanations. I usually like the metaphors with quite some humor and poetry. When it is the automated google translate it is more difficult and reads sometimes odd or funny.
It is quite difficult to have translation since this is a traditional style song. But you can learn Chinese to enjoy the context and culture! maybe one day you will be a good translator and providing nice work to audience.

@@patriciamergen7230 glad you like it so far. You have a close guess on the meaning behind it. The purple orchid is for decoration on clothes during the Chong Yang Festival, and the yellow chrysanthemum is for decoration on hair, memorizing and respecting the ancestors and old people.

@@eisbaer2758 Funny, we are selling this in the shop at my workplace untappd.com/b/mums-chrysanthemum-craft-beer/2361398 (Botanic Garden). Working there that why I am always interested in the symbolic behind plants or flowers. As in Europe it is the tradition to put chrysanthemum in the cemeteries to commemorate our ancestors too. There is a good parallel in our cultures;
