Yeah I mean not tryna be negative but when he tries to play other styles it just sounds like a metal drummer playing metal fills to another genre but when he plays this style of music, he truely truely shines and that’s how he made a name for himself. I don’t hate he’s trying to branch out and be more versatile but comparing a performance like this compared to his kaz Rodriguez play along track and jake Bowen’s solo material, this shit is so much better.
I struggle to dislike anything he's done - even if it's a note for note transcribed cover, everything is just so tasteful - definitely prefer this type of thing though as I do love a good heavy tune as well as 7H7E

Yeah for the level of skill and perfection Alex is, he should be very well compensated. I did recently peep that tosin abasi from AAL is making some money now but he seems to be more industrious than the typical ….savants I would dare call this breed
