“His bones will be reduced to the vices of his youth.” Absolutely chilling! Some would argue that this isn’t the “loving” approach, but they forget how God corrects his sons in the OT who disobey him and expects the only begotten to obey him onto death. Slapping a child who is disobedient should be okay in disciplining them to respect authority not punishing them with some insipid television before they may watch what they want.

Thank you Father! I have questions about me a single mother does all the teaching of the faith and also having to work due to abuse/ separation then from husband. What happens to me if when adults the kids are nice and good but follow the ways of the world? I would do all suggested and got a lot of disapproval from my family and friends
That I was too God focused. We had a lot of play time too and good schooling. And good companions. I feel bad to set a holy example but they think I’m nuts! Jesus gets it just hard. 🙏🏼😊

The only person you will have to answer to when you die is Our Lord. I suggest focusing on Him and what He wants and expects of you. He will give you the joy and peace to persevere when you give yourself to Him without reserve. God Bless you!

I’m in your same boat sister. My oldest 3 are fallen away, because my choice in my youth of a terrible non-Catholic husband/father. Because of my suffering I converted to try to be a good traditional Catholic, and now I’m trying to save my youngest two babies who are still innocent. I pray a Rosary daily and many hours at Mass and adoration each week for my older 3 to convert back, and for my babies to stay Catholic always. For someone to come into my older ones lives, a good priest maybe or good Catholic father figure to convert them back. With our prayers and sacrifices, and Gods grace and power, and I lean on Saint Monica and Saint Rita.. they can yet be saved. Even if it’s because they have to suffer from their sins as well, and hopefully cling to the mercy and love of Christ as a result. I gave up TV and Netflix and Facebook and most of my friends, except the good Catholics, and spend my time homeschooling and teaching these little ones.. what else is there? Trust in God and try not to worry: and if he brings us out of this suffering praise Him. And if He doesn’t, praise Him. ♥️♥️♥️🙏🙏🙏

Anyone else here have a super difficult kid? The kind that's always had a bad temperament, loves to control everything, and hates authority? PS mom & dad married, no divorces, has siblings, is spanked, is homeschooled, we go to mass and discuss God daily. I'm very serious. This is his personality. He's a *rock*. My guy is 8 now, and these 8 years have been quite taxing. I fear Dad & I are the only barriers though. This world is so wicked and grossly effeminate. Suggestions? Stories?

BTW: I am well aware parents are to be held responsible one way or the other in the end. I'm just looking for advice. Thanks.

I had this same problem. Maybe your son has a condition? e.g. autism etc. My son is 37 today and it got a lot worse the older he became. However now I regard him as a great blessing as I always like to do everything right and know now expecting results is prideful .The Lord only is in charge. Keep the book of Job to hand. Stop blaming yourself. We do not know His ways but I believe the Lord will save His soul in the end due to our constant prayers, tears and sacrifices.

@@Sunshine-em9nr Yes my son is diagnosed as autistic and ADHD...some have asked me about ODD but I refuse to add that lable even if it's true bc the treatments are basically the same and I know that lable would destroy any future prospects he might make it to. I didn't mention his diagnosis, bc I didn't want ppl to think I was just blame shifting.
