Agreed. I think we can get too focused on a size or number instead of which features on our body type could benefit from a size up or down.
I think until now I struggled with sizing up overall. It is my clear takeaway!

Jenee, I think one of the things I like most about this video, is your price consciousness. I know that you have worn some of the most expensive pieces of clothing, but you are still checking prices on items that you could easily afford. Its a good lesson for all of us. Spend the money on quality

What's super impressive is that you know your personal style very well. That's what I need to work on--identifying what is "me" and what is just a "pretty item." Definitely continue this series.
You have definitely cracked the code! It’s not about how much money you spend on things. It’s understanding your body silhouette, wearing colors that flatter your color undertones and the overall fit. Spend the money on Alterations!!!!

This is an excellent video. I think people really need to be taught/coached into shopping like this. We need to know our bodies, the colors that work, the cuts the fit our silhouette…This was a breath of fresh air. This video was such a departure from the buy everything attitude of most influencers. One of my favorite content videos to date. You remind me of myself when I shop. You made some points on when you should pass on an item just because it’s cute , but not practical for your lifestyle and you know what looks and colors work for you . We have the same skin tone and I agree the soft pinks are flattering. I used to hate anything pink until the last few months if in the right hue. This video was inspirational and educational. I love love love this type of video. it’s so helpful especially since I don’t have a Zara in my area. It was the perfect virtual in store experience.
I love this kind of video! I like seeing the thought process of how you shop. It is very helpful to understand that, just because you think something is cute doesn’t mean that you should buy it and it doesn’t mean that it’s going to be flattering on. I love how you emphasize that understanding ones personal aesthetic, silhouette, color schemes and fabric preference is paramount. The feel, details, and weight of the fabrics is the key. I predominantly wear flats but from watching this video I will now pay closer attention to the straps and the support I used to think that flats automatically translated into comfort, but I have learned the hard way that it doesn’t.

I’m glad to hear you don’t purchase things just because they’re cute. I do that all of the time! When I get back home, I’m upset because I didn’t get anything I was looking for and I end up with a lot of hodgepodge clothing I don’t need. If you can refrain from compulsive shopping, surely I can. I like that how you shop is reflected in how you shop. You know your style. You style items at least three times before you purchase. You know your no buy because you've got enough or you never wear it. Thank you for pointing out how to identify quality.
More of these kinds of videos! I’m a known “occasion” shopper and I also fall for the the trap of buying things that I find cute without considering if it works for my body type. Need to dress for the body I have vs the body I want!
This really challenged me to shop differently and consider how every piece fits and learning what works. Going to try this out the next time I shop!

Great video, I think the lesson is everyone needs to know what looks good on their body type, what flatters and what just is a trend that may not be for you. Example, most people look better in v neck T shirts. Loved it!!

I really enjoyed this video! I’ve been in a style rut but this video gave me great ideas and insight into how I should be thinking about what I buy. My biggest takeaways were knowing what silhouette looks good on you and not buying something just because it’s cute.
I love this format. Not only because you have helpful informative tips, but because I'm at a point in my wardrobe journey where I don't really need to buy a lot of stuff. So I get to live vicariously through someone else's shopping without going to the store myself and buying a bunch of stuff I don't need.

This is such a helpful video. I tend to buy because I like and if the price is right that makes it a must. Ugh! That leads to me having lots of items with tags on them in my closet. For example I purchased lots of crochet that I see me wearing for a future cruise. There are two problems with that. One is I don’t have a cruise planned. Second I don’t like how they lay on me without making much effort. They’re super cute but I don’t feel super cute in them. I must do better and shop with more intention to fill gaps and less feeling or trendy. Thanks for suggesting this series Mya and Jenee thanks for sharing.
