Since I started with FCP years ago, I can’t see going to anything else. But it’s not about which program all the cool kids use as much as it is about what makes the creator feel comfortable and able to create with ease.
I’ve been editing since the mid 70’s. I’ve been using Final Cut since Legacy FCP. I have tried the others. There is nothing that I’ve ever done from TV spots and shows to docs and industrial that I couldn’t do more quickly and efficiently in FCP.
If anyone is having this issue where your audio is red, I found a fix. You need to format your SSD to APFS. Simply right click on the SSD icon on your desktop, click erase, and then select the APFS format option. Then restart Final Cut Pro and the red audio is gone! 👏
I was just about to switch to Devinci or go back to Premiere, but I love Final Cut because of its intuitive process, and I don't have to think too much about my workflow at all. Love this update, especially with the Magnetic Mask
The captions features isn’t great and the motionvfx isn’t either. They both need improvements. I’d recommend Captionator for captions in Final Cut Pro.
Fcp optimization for Mac OS is outstanding, if you on Mac - it’s best choice. I was on premiere pro many years ago, but then switch for fcp, it’s fast and stable for me this is main reason to stay on fcp
once again, FCP updates with new features that other NLEs have had for years. If they really wanted to get competitive, they'd merge motion and FCP into a single app. they also really need to add 3D tracking, which is another feature DR just has right out of the box.
Magnetic mask is very cool, but it's a shame that FCP is still so behind on captions, which have become essential for short videos. I edit in FCP then use Capcut to add in subtitles.
FCP is easy and efficient. I’d say that it is what the CUT page in DaVinci should be. But in total DaVinci for me is better when it comes to the total package and everything you get when you buy the studio version. I would have to compliment FCP with a lot of plug-ins to get it close to what DaVinci gives you. DaVinci also flows better if you do all of the post processing or if you are several people working on the same project.
Every time Apple updates FCP, I go back and try doing a project using the new features. Yet, not a few hours into that project, I go back to DaVinci realizing that FCP still is not as good. Apple will need to up its game even more to lure me back. For now, DaVinci is king. 👑
I’ve a FCP user since it came out I did switch to Adobe but cancel cause I don’t like the subscription, went back to FCP and never look back. I though Apple was gonna discontinue it after no upgrade that was worthy
final cut pro best for editng! I use resolve for some features and its finally relieving to see FCP catching up ! cause seriously man Resolve is a pain to use.

the workflow in Final Cut is just say easy, its hard to leave
Final Cut Pro for the win! Use what you like. For me it is Final Cut.

There is an easier way to change to titles. I made a video about it a week or two ago. You don’t have to leave Final Cut either!
