What gear? A tube screamer, a set up strat? And maybe a different speaker in the amp with perhaps select tubes? Peaveys are actually very good. They are generally focused towards a guitar's range. Not a bass guitar not a harmonica or say maybe a fiddle but a guitar. No frills pretty much just authentic sounds of guitar. They are durable and when purchased new. Very accessable. Hard to beat really.
No pedals just direct in with a strat! The story I got with it from a 70yr old man about 8-9yrs ago on trade that ended up checking out with Peavey to be true for I didn’t believe until they confirmed that the original owner was in fact Rick’s Nielson of Cheap Trick so being the third owner it’ll always be my number one and never have a fourth owner is all ill say! And as for the mods thats a given with its history I can hear bigtime with the mid boost button Cheap trick come out all the way and at any setting is everything I could every want as for power an tones! And the funny part is I went through the entire line of the classics back in 90’s including this very same one yet it didn’t sound even close nor performed like this or I would of saved alot of time an back work liggin the 4-10 classic 50 for years lol Ive never opened it up for Im curious if he signed it which prob not if anything his guitar tech maybe did Ill do that soon now that you ask an update you too with what I see as soon as I get around to it! 🎸❤️💯

I had a couple of these amps tweed style but I included them with the guitars I sold but most of the price was for the amp.
Yeah these are hidden gems and really hard to find anymore these days for I wouldn’t part with mine for anything!
