Trump will win. He has 30% black votes 52% Hispanic votes and 60% of new voters because he talks to people in podcast and other media while Harris hides.
You're right, I think the Trump vote was previously undercounted by pollsters, because voters were uncomfortable declaring their support for him. I'm not sure there's the same reticence now... 🙃

@@darthshader2594 There wasn't a 10 point swing since the last poll by the same pollster. The sample group was very different demographically. Trump probably leads much more narrowly there.
How many of the respondents to that poll were below the age of 45? Because those are the people who are going to vote against Trump. Women and younger voters. We saw very similar poll numbers in 2020 and Trump still lost. Why? Because modern polling methods are antiquated and usually don't include many younger voters.

I know we had a similar situation in the UK a few years ago, and the polling firms incorporated many new methods of analysis and demographic sampling. It's probably worth checking what their methods now are as their reputation is tied to their accuracy, so they're invested in getting it as close as possible. (ie w MoE)
@@Ron-Ayres The issue is that the majority of younger folks rely almost exclusively upon smartphones. And when someone you don't recognize calls you on your smartphone, it's very easy to simply block that caller -- without even answering the call. Hence most pollsters never even get through to younger voters.
The Electoral College and getting 270 or more is all that matters.

Can someone please explain why abortion seems to be the #1 issue for us democrat voters? I've never considered it the #1 issue. It doesn't seem logical to me, especially for this election. First, the supreme court ruled to make the issue a matter for the states to handle. So Trump can't do anything about the matter anyways unless the supreme court reverses its decision. Second, I ran the numbers. There are over 65 million women of child bearing age in the US. There were roughly 625,000 abortions performed each year. That's less than .1% of child bearing women who abortion has affected. Much further less affected for all women and even much further less than that for the US population as a whole. Why aren't we democrats more concerned with issues that affect all of us, like inflation? I still can get over Kamala's response to a supporter who asked about inflation. Kamala said, Americans are going to have to get used to paying more. Not sure about you all, but high prices affect me and everyone I know more than abortion does. Kamala's answer to inflation is the reason I won't vote for her. How dare she presume that we can all continue to pay higher prices. It's severly affecting my livelihood as I'm sure yours too. So what's going on regarding abortion? Are we being gaslit by MSNBC that democrats care about abortion more than anything else?

Kornack needs multiple presentations of the same data to explain stuff. He made numerous mistakes yesterday in MTP (C- Performance). He got better earlier this morning (maybe a B-, but he still did not point out how well Walz was doing with favorability). I am not sure what they think about my judgment, but I would never have taken my child back to that address in New Mexico if I knew what was created off of our lives.
