    Heres an idea for Adventure Time fans:
    Add some red and blue colouring to your mix
    Cut the marshmallows like Lumpy Space Princess shape.
    Add the star on the marshmallows
    LSP marshmallows , very lumpy

    I just made the basic version of these! Awesome recipe. My batch whipped up super quick in my stand mixer. I did end up having to boil the mixture for more than one minute to get it to reach the proper temperature. If anyone is attempting this one (almost two years later) you should totally invest in a thermometer. I used my digital probe and it worked perfectly.
    When finishing these with the powder blend I did half of them with the powdered sugar/corn starch combo and the other half I added a teaspoon of nutmeg to the mix. A tasty tweak IMO.
    Thanks for this recipe! I can't wait to try some flavours as gifts for the holidays.

    • @FantasyGarnet
      @FantasyGarnet 9 лет назад +3

      Sadly I watched much videos where they make marshmallows and some of them also tried it with agar agar, and it does not work the same because the consistency of agar agar isn't hard like gelatine. :(

    • @SheConspiracyPlotter
      @SheConspiracyPlotter 9 лет назад +3

      FantasyGarnet i never used agar agar to make marshmallows so i dont know, but with other desserts it always worked. maybe you just need to add more of agar agar to make it harder?

    • @mermaidboobies

    I couldn't believe how easy these are when you just have a stand mixer (Mine is KitchenAid). I had tried to make marshmallows some time ago with just a hand-held mixer. Forget that! These were great!! The kids went bonkers for them. I just made the original plain ones with vanilla. I will be trying coconut flavoring, almond flavoring, peppermint, etc.... plus definitely the coffee and chocolate. I love to experiment. And if for some reason some attempt is not as fluffy, I will just use them for Krispy Treats. Win-Win!! Thanks a Bunch for posting this!!

    • @nhandaemo
      @nhandaemo 7 лет назад +4

      mmedeuxchevaux maybe use agar-agar but make sure to use just half the amount because agar-agar can make it a lot more sturdy than gelatin so you wont get the same texture if youre using the same amount. and try to soak the agar-agar in warm water first cause agar-agar needs a higher temperature to melt to make a silky texture.

      Dude! Cakes require a LOT of sugar! 3-4 cups for the batterand 8 more cups of powdered ones for the frosting. Compared to that, marshmallows are more safe and fun to eat.😅😅

    Thank you for this recipe. One question though, is there a substitute for the light corn syrup? Can I use homemade syrup from granulate sugar instead? Corn syrup is super expensive here where I live.
