A love theme for all the lovers... Beautiful and simply. Such like the moon thinking of the chinese poetry, especially Li Bai, drunk on his boat and finished is life on the water, happy to be be drunk....
@mtksbctk pardon me i know its not the right music to swear to...also i found the sheets played by bill evans... :) this might be one the most beautiful tracks ive ever heard... my favorite is the ahmad jamal version
This isn't the love them from "Spartacus" as Alex North wrote it. This performance attempts to incorporate more of the theme as the composer wrote it, but the basic theme has been altered to fit the needs of a Jazz interpretation. This performance models itself after one or two other jazz version. Don't misunderstand me, I like the jazz versions, but far too many people will accept the jazz version as the genuine "Spartacus" love theme and never be curious enough to check out the original theme. My favorite jazz version is the get down funky Ramsey Lewis version.

Madre mía, que maravilla
Magnificent, compelling and beautiful interpretation of Alex North's classic meditation on love.

I doubt that 'far too many people' would assume that Spartacus has a jazz soundtrack.
The best, by far, is the performance by the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. Nothing compares.
