    I love my flatpack! I've been wearing it on my belt at work for a few months now with a SOF-T. Super low profile, and with the orange hypalon pull tab kit its visible enough in the event my partner needs to grab it for me. Also have another one malice-clipped to my M9 bag, holding a gen 7 CAT.

    The little knob screw thing is what turned me off from the older SOFT-T. Glad they got rid of it. Great video as always

    Dig it. I like the idea of making it into a more capable kit without all the extra bulk of nylon when it isn't needed.

    looks good, could probably add pull tabs on the shock cord for use with gloves or better dexterity during increased intensity....

      Stacy Little I agree. I was able to use this about a weekk ago during training and it takes some getting used to and during stress it took more timed to get it in use. If someone else needed to use it in an emergency situation that hadn't practiced with it before they would struggle and waste time.

      Stacy Little It just so happens that pull tabs are in progress now! They're being laser cut from Hypalon this week and will be in stock the beginning of April. Thanks!

      That's cool! I was just thinking if I ordered one I would take some hyplon pulls I had taken off a Hailey rig I have and put em on there.

    Quick question. And while putting the moral obligation and instinctive "want to" aside, say you drive up on a crash and you are the first on the scene (this happened to me when I came up on a crash with a deceased man ejected from the car and wife trying to walk with a shattered leg) but what are the liabilities of intervening in the situation. Say you provide care and the patient still doesn't make it, can you then be sued for providing care as a non-medical professional or anything to that sort? Maybe you have already made a video about this but I haven't seen it. Thank you.

      G Pow I'm in MN and took a CPR class recently. At least here in MN you should be covered by the Good Samaritan law. So for example if I were to break someone's ribs doing CPR then I would not be liable. However if I did something knowingly wrong like using my foot to do chest compressions then I would be liable. Also, not liable does not mean they can't sue you. It just means that it will be likely thrown out. My instructor referenced a case like that where a guy had a heart attack and sued the woman who did CPR on him for braking his ribs and causing him to miss work until he recovered. The judge threw the case out right away.
      Full disclosure, I'm neither a Dr. Or a lawyer, this is just my two cents.

      Hi Bart. I'm in MN too. Do you know of any trauma training in the state or nearby? I'm taking CPR and First Aid but I'd like to get more sophisticated training without having to fly. Anybody else feel free to jump in with suggestions. Kind regards, Mike.

      Michael St.James I don't know. Hennepin Tech might. My instructor was from there. I believe they offer EMT instruction.

    Don't you need duct tape to make that petroleum gauze into a chest seal? And would you use the TQ to hold pressure on the Celox granulars and compressed gauze?

    Is there a way to attach a better grab handle to the release shot cord? Seems like that would be hard to grab in a panic.

    • @bicommander7911
      @bicommander7911 7 лет назад +1

      I think you could do one yourself with duct tape

      Nobody would rank them with a CAT tourniquet. CAT is a TCCC tourniquet. The Rats is a bungee cord.
