Hey man just checked out the vocal on your tunes. Good stuff I wanna give u advice. I hear it bein overly compressed RN and over EQ tbh. I'd totally recommend trying to get the best vocal sound with 1 EQ and 1 compressor. BIGGEST TIP THO, I hear you boosting alot around the 1k-5k region (the 5-7th band on the Soundtrap EQ) and I think you're looking for the highest band instead (9-10th band). A LOT of people boost too LOW when mixing vocals and thats what I'm hearing with yours right now.
It was a mistake I made in EVERY vocal coming up and I reconized it super quick, flow does have a shimmery top buzz but it's around 8k-20k, higher than you'd think. It's such a common problem and here's a good start.

I have a blue yeti microphone, where should the volume and gain knows be at on the physical mic?
Important question, the gain should be as high as you can get it without clipping (clipping's where the soundwave hits the top, and gets distorted). It'll change, and depend on your distance from the mic when speaking, room noise, and volume.
To make sure you get it right, record your voice at the loudest you will perform on a take, then stop and check to make sure it's not clipping. Once you have a good level, turn the knob down about 10° just to be safe. You'll get a feel for it after a while 👍

Soundtrap is perfectly fine for chromebook use! You can get great results on it that sound super professional, audacity will get you an extra 10%

@@ysnclixs8343 hey again, check out the other comment u have here for the big tip I replied to, but for the mic static check out my "How to Mix in Soundtrap: RRCORDING" video on the channel. It'll go over how to get the best sound from your initial recording.
Once you have it tho check out the noise reducer effect in audacity if you already have noisy takes, you can never cut out noise 100%, and you have to be SUPER subtle with it, but it can help. Use the method I go over in this vid to use audacity on vocals

Hey man ! Just a got a question, what plug in do we use to make our voice deeper (on audacity or on soundtrap ? Cause i got this feeling that the voice is not mixing to the instruments and it sounds really bad
It’s like someone is singing front of me and everyone else with an instrument is playing on the back and I wanted to make everyone in the same line (i don’t know if u have understood me haha)

Absolutely! Goto file-export as a wave, and ur all good! That's the one I recommend the most for sure👍

I wanted to know, what effects would you use to sound like Nav?
Mathias! Nav has a real low-key vocal performance, but the final product is super bright it sounds like.ake sure you get a clean vocal take, without a lot of noise, so you can boost alot of the high end and focus on it in vocals!

Because the sound isn't really an effect, just the plugins trying to pitch your vocal, downloading that autotune and using audacity is the best answer I can give here, hope Audacity isn't too tricky!

Ok angel no prob! First thing is restart your computer, and check again. That usually does the trick like 90% of the time. If that doesn't though, tell me what plugin you downloaded specifically and we'll see what we can do👍 sound cool?

Also unfortunately we have to put the audio in audacity to use Mautopitch at the moment, but for a free auto-tune, learning/downloading audacity might be worth the effort
Do we need to master our music after mixing in soundtrap?
Soundtrap has an auto-master when you export, it actually won't let you export from Soundtrap studio without auto-mastering👍

Is there a vocal rider type plugin thats free
Good question, even if there was, I wouldn't use it. Manual riding will always give better results, but compression and parallel compression will will what I focus on the most
I installed the audacity and the plugins but the Plugins are not showing up in audacity after iv added them in effects

does audacity only take 32 bit plug ins? For some reason these plug ins won't add to my audacity and gives me errors.

Ok good! Make sure to download the 32bit version on the supermassive website, and restart your computer after installation. Let me know if that one still doesn't show.
