I think beginners can be posers very easily, its all about your attitude. Its so easy to look at someone and tell whether or not they like skating or just like the idea of being a skater.

Either that or they just don't know how to use skate lingo correctly and shouldn't be listened to in the first place. A poser is someone who acts/pretends that they can skate, when they can't... hence the term "poser", as in they are posing as a skater. This term doesn't apply to someone who just started skating... unless said person is claiming that they can do things that they can't... in that case, they would most definitely be a poser. TL;DR - If you never lie about what you can do on a skateboard, you'll never be a poser. It's really that simple.
