I usually can't stand listening to the sound of a bagpipe but this combination of rock music and pipes is very interesting and entertaining. I LOVE IT!
As I play this I am taken back to when I was a boy. Trips into the city for parades. Often they would include a bagpipe marching band. My father, who had a keen interest in family history would always tell me, "Listen to this and learn about your heritage."
I am using this song for mine and my friend Lauren's choreography for a couple competitions :) We're doing it at New Hampshire, Ottawa choreography comp, and hopefully the candadians at Antiguinish 2011. We're highland dancers :P
I feature this recording in my book "Scottish Music Yearbook". The book takes the reader on a year long journey through the music of Scottish composers.
