lol no wonder fondling on trains is such a thing in japan...and man, imagine the pick pockets. I mean, hopefully anyone on the train is hip to pick pockets but who nkows.

There is virtually no pick pockets in Japan. The most common crime on train is groping.

Just wondering, in these situations, is it considered okay to stand on top of seats?

Surely not in Japan, I have never seen travelling there for 51 year of my life

Terrible way to treat people. You wouldn't be allowed to do that to animals.

London and New York subways are not a lot better. It’s just part of the daily commute in megatropolis. The train line in this video is on the Yokohama-Tokyo corridor and there are in total four train lines (8 tracks) running parallel on this corridor. Two lines serve as limited stop express services, this line serves as local services and the other line runs a mixture of local and express services. This 25km corridor carries over 2 millions passengers each work day.

If you wanted to fix this you would need to make like 5 business hubs with a population totalling up to 30 million together

Robbers are rare there. There's probably more gropers than robbers in japan.

Robbery is super rare in Japan. You can leave your iPad and wallet on a busy cafe table and I can guarantee they will still be there an hour later.

Japanese have always been wearing mask when they have a cold because they consider others’ well being and don’t want to spread it to others.
