Heard this music randomly the other day and recognized it right away. Made me want to watch this all over again . It still holds up! What a unique time this was.
I vowed never to watch this scene but here I am almost 30 years later crying. Omg when Jake comes through the door & viki just loses it, sobs! When megan realizes its him! Ok I'm crying like when I was little!
Little Jessica is a good actress. I haven't watched this maybe ever but I do remember her dying in Jake's arms so I did see part of it. I'm 59 and am watching this in 2023. I'm no good at math LOL. These were powerful scenes and so well done but most everyone involved. Thaniks for posting all of this.
@softsable79 I was an old lady of 15 when I saw this the first time, but I missed almost the whole week of Megan's death because I couldn't figure out the damn VCR, and I was angry about it for years, lol.. I finally got it right for Megan's last two episodes. I'm grateful that I finally got to see all of it, even all these years later. Megan's death was the first time I cried buckets over a soap character dying.
The music they played back then was wonderful. Man I miss these days of OLTL. I'm not happy that Megan was killed off, but I am glad they didn't replace Jessica Tuck or Joe Lando.
Jan, 1979 to be exact! So I was 13 when this aired! I rushed home from to school to see OLTL! We had a complicated VCR and I could never figure out how to program the darn thing! LOL!
Jake bursting through the door & viki just looses it & hugs him still brings me tears. Megan " don't let love slip away it's the only thing that counts "
Watching these soaps were fun, but, being younger and impressionable then, made me think death played out this way in real life. This went on for an entire week? I remembered being so sad for megan and jake, and knew their roles were irreplaceable.. That's rare in soapland. The years have passed, I've lost many friends and family..some much too young, and it NEVER plays out like this..
I saw an interview with Joe Lando, he said he can't even see this scenes because Jessica Tuck was really sick that day, so it was too real for them both 😢
@entertainme3000 I love Roma Downey and I didn't know that she had a soap opera background. I should have guessed it...she is a great little actress. I loved her show very much. I get to watch Dr. Quinn everyday on GMC, and lately, there have been commercials w/ Joe Lando announcing the upcoming showing of the last season of Dr. Quinn. He still looks fantastic at 48! He doesn't look it. I can't get over him talking so much at one time because as Sully, he really didn't do alot of talking.
@entertainme3000 He made a couple of movies. Some of them were played on Lifetime Movies. I know he has a big family. I get the impression that he would rather be w/ them than work so much. I got 2 of his movies for Christmas and I need to watch them. He seems to like action movies. Did you ever see him in Higher Ground? It only lasted one season, but it wasn't too bad. Sort of a 90201 type of show. Lots of teenagers... Some of it is on RUclips.
@Blackjaxs born in may 80 by 11 I watched quite a bit(but only for breaks) VCR didn't pogram well it was stingy. Proud to ad mit I've had the last one for 10 years now and still tapes just fine if I do...but this particular program ain't one I like to Tevo anymore...only the classics of early 90s

I was 20 and I cried like a baby
25 years later and I still sob when Jake walks through the door and Viki just breaks down. It's still too much! LOL
Still makes me cry
I will never forget Viki breaking down when Jake walked through that door! Even at 13, that did something to me. 😢
I watch these scenes whenever I need to have a good cry....the writers and Jessica Tuck were brilliant

@judiescof yes that's very true. wow now I know he's 48. I wonder where he was at in his 40's.

Where in the world were Roger and Megan's adoptive Mom ? Crazy that they are not there.

Her first niece was Sarah ( Tina & Cord daughter). Second is Megan ( Jessica & Will daughter).
@Abbyviki Joe Lando left to do "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" where he played very hunky Sully.............
@judiescof my grandma loved that show and Touched by an angel which featured another OLTL alum...Roma Downey (Joanna Leighton)

Roger didn't show up until the funeral and Carrie, Megan's adoptive mother wasn't even mentioned.

@DontForgetIran2010 Jessica Tuck she is now on Days of Our Lives.
The scene with Sarah didn’t hit as well as it would have done with Jensen Buchanan.
@abcsoaptv yeah I was and I liked Jake then I liked Ryan Phillippe and Nathan Fillion ar 12 and 13
