Awesome love the truck & canopy. I showed a Guy how we use our gear, water over the bonnet scratching all the way down each side. Good on You Guys enjoy adding up bit under $250 grand It’s unbelievable cheers
Sweet build, love the tent especially. My Silverado (Blue) build got side tracked in America. Getting back slow and steady. Small budget takes longer to do. Congrats mate.
You come across as a real nice guy , especially your tinny give away video ages ago, so all the best for this rig you really built. A bit like Aussie destination unknown 2500 but at least you don't need a step up to go into the drawers in the tray
What a great looking Rig brother that canopy is on point. So pleased to see the Bushwakka awning,, I was Johnny and Annelize Very First Ever Customer, Love them beautiful people Next up on my 200 is there latest Shower Tent. Love how it pulls out on Your Rig that's sweet. I want that Pop up Tent too How farkinnnnn Cool is this build. Well done Ad and Sar love love love it. ;-)
Thanks heaps! Yeah we are yet to try that tent haha, have spoke to Johnny a few times, seems like a good guy! Also haven’t got to fold the awning out properly yet, but heading away this weekend so hopefully then!
Awesome build, apologies if I missed it but I’m interested in what your GVM, GCM and axel loads were and who did them. I have LC 300 but would like a canopy set up just like yours.
Just gona warn you.. if your ever driving through the sunny coast and a crazy looking fijian dude is beeping at you in a hilux... feel free to pull up an take me for a drive!! loved it guys
The wow factor for this thing is phenomenal dude... my God this thing is awesome. I cannot believe how well that canopy lines up with the cab. Wheels look mint. When you first did the vid on the "new" rig and I commented please don't be a 79.🤣🤣 this thing sh#ts all over a 79 man... so much wow👌👌
Thanks mate, yeah she sure is comfy….and powerful! But the reliability of the 79 is definitely tempting for in the future, let’s see how Silvy goes after a good ol Aussie flogging 😁
What a fantastic build Adam , I learned heaps by watching it , have to ask how much for everything complete ? - love all your content can’t wait to see more with the big Silvy🙏👏
Good to know about the drone from the exhaust when towing. What mufflers did you use? It looks custom, is there something I can buy and install myself without welding that has a true dual
Adam, you have built a genuine beast. Hope everything goes according to plan and love your content. Keep it up mate. Looking forward to your travels up the cape and can't wait for some gulf action. Didn't see a couple of winches on the beast, but I am sure you have a plan.
A truely awesome build. Im just wondering about your weights as I'm currently looking at doing something similar. Whats the gym/gcm of your build, and what does the rig weigh now with full fuel and water, and whats your left over payload? Cheers for sharing this awesome build.
This is seriously impressive. Do the two main side storage units meet in the middle - as in is the middle wall between them thin or hollow, could you remove it to permit carrying larger items when needed? - I ask because while I want an overlanding rig, I also want something useful on my farm which means being able to load up lumber and tools. I'm going to test a new 2023 Silverado LT Trail Boss Z71 next week and I want to build something like this. Here in Colombia the prices are through the roof because of import taxes etc. I would go Toyota if it wasn't with a 100% markup. The Chevy is $68.5k USD. Can you share rough weight and costs of the final loaded build please?
Yeah the GVM and payload is a piss take on these cars, they do it all so easily, a 200 series cruiser has more 🤦♂️ Hopefully donor pulls their finger out and ups the GVM soon. Our weights are up there
Mate I'm free this weekend if you want me to come out fishing with you. I know a few great bream holes and if you're lucky I might even show you my Wong rock
Awesome truck is that not a Silverado not a Sylvie lol that is one awesome build well done guys unfortunately just a dream the most of us normal Folk😁😁😁
I would say it would have a power draw in amps on the machine mate, if it was for example 12amps that means 12amps per hour of use, ours is a 400amp hour system. 96amps used in an 8 hour sleep. So worth the look 😊
Sick build and it's very pretty, but you need to be very careful. Take the following any way you like, but I love the channel and what you and Sarah do. I'd hate to see you can it because of an incident. I think as content producers/Vloggers/influencers, there is a degree of responsibility when posting this sort of content to educate and make your viewers aware of the legalities and restrictions around this sort of thing. Police and the QLD Transport are cracking down heavily in QLD on overweight vehicles - especially people touring and towing. You could quickly end up on the side of the road with a ticket with a big number on it in your hand and your baby disappearing into the sunset on that back of a tow truck. I would love to know the final weight of the rig? Can you please put it on a weight bridge when you've finished building it and post the results. Given you only have a 756kg payload to start with; the new suspension components, bullbar, 35" tyres, the canopy with everything built into it, rooftop tent, awnings, 80L water, etc; I'm guessing in you will be in the vicinity of 600-650kg. Yes, ditching the stock tub would have ditched ~150kg, so your net result is somewhere in the order of 500kg. You're not going to have much capacity left over for the driver/passengers and all your gear to go on a trip. Add the tow ball down weight of the boat and the Cape York trip quickly seems like a fantasy. I also found it interesting that you commented on not wanting tyres sticking out of the guards because they're illegal, but went ahead and put a 4.5 inch suspension lift in, which is illegal right off the bat - unless the mods have been engineered and a mod plate issued and attached. mypolice.qld.gov.au/gympie/2020/06/29/the-highs-and-lows-of-vehicle-height-modifications/ If you happen to be unfortunate enough to have an accident, you've got no insurance and could be charged with operating an unroadworthy vehicle. :( Be safe and keep the episodes coming! :)
Hey mate, well that’s a bit of a condescending comment if I say so myself. First of all you give us some nice comments then continue to write us off about our car without knowing any facts and then finished with a nice comment, so you’ve got me very confused. Anyway, your weights are very close actually and with 500 kg left over leaves us with enough to spare to keep legal. As it’s only Sarah and I that travel in this car when we go away, if it’s our kids we take the land cruiser and caravan. Now to the lift, legally you’re allowed to go 2 inches above factory height, the Trail Boss is already lifted 2 inches, therefore being legal, also the tyres are 2 inches above factory tyre size and again completely legal. We aren’t towing a 3 1/2 t caravan mate we’re towing a big tinny so I appreciate your message but before writing a comment such as yours you may want to look into the facts a little deeper. Our car has also had the Gvm upgrade to 1070 payload and 3543 kg GVM Yes when towing we have to be careful with our weights in the canopy but we also have a boat to store stuff in and I can tell you we are well under our GCM Have a good one mate

Can you fill us in on the hoops you had to jump through for the engineering assessment, inspection and sign-off? This is the sort of info people doing/looking to do builds want to know. Awesome set up. Looking at switching from the 200 to a RAM soon, has given me some ideas.
Keep up the great work.
For your RAM I would recomend a 3 inch lift, 35x12.50r18 Nitto Trail Grappler MT and Method Racing Bead Grip wheels.
That is one bad ass rig! Love it!
The boys from all 4 adventure will be jealous of this big girl.
What a machine mate, what dreams are made of 😍😍💪🏼
