- Time for a green woodworking project in the woods! In this episode I make a white oak spatula from scratch using a pair of woodland vices: the shave horse and the spoon mule. Might need to sharpen the drawknife after this one...

Thanks for a great video!
Love your RUclips video! I’m fairly new to woodworking and want to make handled spoons and bowls. How much would you charge to make a spoon mule and shave horse like the one you use on the video? I would be very interested if you’re willing to make these for me. Thank you. Gary
What about the hand ax? Manufacture, weight, length? I'm not familiar withy it. Thanks . . .
- - Old Vet In The Woods
Check out kharkiv forge on etsy. Best tools hands down I've ever bought. Built to last my future grandkids lives. I've purchased 7 tools so far all for carving and saving for more. Hope you read this thanks for your service from a vet in his shop to a vet in the woods.
Hi Steven. It's a Schrade SCAXE10 11.1in and weight is about a pound and a half. Maybe $25.
. . . and while I'm asking, tell me more about your drawknife.Homemade? Material? Thanks
Drawknife is Timber Tuff TMB-08DS "Straight Draw Shave Tool". Put a good edge on it and it gets the job done.
