You can do them before they fully loc but it won’t loc how it will when they actually loc, you have to be careful though cuz they could begin to loc together

the clip just makes it easier to keep the first one from unraveling while your twisting the second on but you don't have to use it you can just hold it with one hand while you twist the other one in your other hand, and for the rubber band just keep twisting it around until its tight enough

To get locs you can either do comb coils , 2 strand twist or instant locs. what hair type are you

I sleep with a scarf or durag. you can use a little water in a spray bottle to straighten them out, you don't need to use much.

If you put them on tight enough they will not come off until you take them off , or unless they pop from having them on for a super long time
