The Saturday morning I looked out my window and that’s what I saw in the back of the truck. It’s 2022 and it still puts a smile on my face. Mine wasn’t beaten by any other 80 till my buddies YZ-80 in 81. His had the monoshock, liquid cooling. But my other buddies who had the CR-80 and the other with the KX were eating dust. Man what a power band, scary! lol
This was the best XMAS present i ever received , i was 14 or 15 1981 rm80, i am 55 now , i wanted one so bad i gave up asking ,6 months later Xmas day it was inside the house by the tree. I was blown away couldnt belive it i was speechless ,it had that new tire and plastic leather smell, my father said open the box next to it how much better can this get. I open the box it had the original Suzuki motocross shirt from 79 'with my name on the back ,gets better next to it was the first production BELL MOTO 3 full face helmet . I was done ever getting a presents nothing could ever match this lol. Back then 80's were not to big at racing yet, there was only 2 places that had 80 races , Sleepy hollow MX track and raceway park NJ tracks grew and opened it up to not only 80's but 50's and 60's also. I put a DJ head on it reed valves even taped the front shocks for air , nothing was out like that yet lol, i could now throw away my scott plastic mask hated them. I could rip that bike down put new rings piston wrist clips in 1 hour, i beat that bike but took care of it, *it always ran no matter what they never die. Few of my friends have 4 strokes ,you can no longer do that with these 4 strokes there a nightmare with the valves over heating and it seems my buddies are usually going to pick up there bike or drop it off to get fix . You need special tools for these bikes you need to know what your doing the jetting is a nightmare, everything on these bikes are expensive. For factory riders fine NP they have a mechanic fully sponsored they have no worries , for weekend riding and racing i will still get a 2 stroke there starting to come back now i hope they do, ALL THE WAY, >>>>Lets thank the dads out there for making these days very special ,these memories will never fade, GOOD TIMES, praise the lord for keeping us safe out there... >>>>>> Anyone else have a RM 80 story lets here it
I had the same bike at 10 years old and a field next our house. That fucking thing scared me to death, but i loved it. Front wheel was up through the gears if you wanted it or not. Very special memories
Bike has his first Paint, tires , handgrips, cabers, Plastics . Everything like it came out of the factory in 1979. Every screw , everything is NOS Suzuki . Fuel is in his original conditions and not repainted. For SALE. Information at rotectilburg@gmail.com
I knew immediately, lol. That sound, god i was excited back in 1979. Vanhalen had come out with eruption 🌋 already. The movie of the year was the now classic “The Warriors “! A great year for sure.

I had the 79 RM80 when I was in 6th grade,,, back in the day. Had Fox shocks and a DG head and pipe. It hauled azz
My dream bike when I was little❤️
