*** EDITED to update my hardware used. I previously stated the M8 hardware but I honestly don't know what I was thinking ordering that size from Amazon. M8 is WAY to thin of a bolt. I instead went to Home Depot and picked up hardware to mount the seatbelt receptical to my aftermarket seat (hardware listed below) ***
Sorry in advance - this comment might be a little long... But bro, props to you for your video.
I just ordered me some Braum seats for my 2018 WRX and will be getting them near the end of the month (black seats, white piping, gray stitching... On Back order). I'm 38 and have never installed bucket seats into any of my cars so I wanted to make sure everything went smoothly when the seats got here.
After watching roughly 20+ videos on seat installs, I found there were a few extra things I needed to order. I got me some Planted brackets for the WRX, picked up an additional Seat Install Hardware Kit from Braum, I got the same 1" spacers from Braum, and then I'm sitting here trying to figure out the order of installation.
A lot of people who run spacers place them between the sliders and the bracket, but Braum says to install them between the seat and the sliders. I just couldn't find ANYBODY doing the install the way Braum says... Until I found this video.
To be able to see it done and know that I ordered everything correctly is a breath of fresh air. Nothing worse than having your seats (or any other important item removed from your car) taken apart and finding out you need to drive down to the hardware store.
The only thing I'm currently figuring out is my seatbelt receptacle bolt. The WRX is similar to your Camaro in that the stock bolt is welded to the seat, so we have to purchase a new bolt.
A few people have videos on RUclips saying they went to the hardware store and purchased "these bolts here", but didn't bother to say the length. The thickness I can figure out cause it can't be bigger than the mounting hole on the bracket. The length is what was driving me nuts.
I ended up going with the following from Home Depot:
Bolts:
1/2" x 1" Hex Bolt (2 of them @2.06/ea)
Locking Nuts:
1/2"-13 Locking Nut (2 of them at 1.38/ea)
Washers:
1/2" Flat Washer (4 of them at .54/ea)
