Yes, upon arrival we suggest po to prepare all of your travel/visa documents as they will look for it and may they (US immigration officers) ask you some questions regarding your travel plans and travel requirements. Good luck po and all the best!

Hello din. Just make sure you have all your travel docs on hand complete and ready like your visa, passport, accommodation booking, and travel insurance policy if you have. We are Australian passport holders as we are Au citizens so from NAIA (Philippines) customs immigration checks wala masyado questions for us but for our relatives who travel with us using Philippines passport madami tanong ang outbound Philippines immigration like anong job mo sa Philippines how much salary and why mag vacation sa US (they also asked if may travel insurance or wala). I guess just have all of these ready pag hinanapan kayo ng copy advisable then if you could put them all in a folder with pages para madali mo maipakita that’s what we did, naka arrange na lahat so hindi na kami nahirapan maghanap pa. Hi, do they check the PCR test before boarding (in Manila) or do they check them again in Seoul? I know the window is only 48 hours…my mom is transiting through Incheon to Vancouver and she’s a bit worried about the validity of the test. Thanks 😊
We didn’t do any PCR test when we traveled all we need to present was proof of vaccination for adults. I’m not sure about Vancouver (Canada) regulations at the moment but I can say that we were not required any PCR tests from Manila NAIA, Incheon and when we entered the US thru LAX. I have a question about the K-eta. My mother is gonna fly from Philippines to Korea to United States. Does she need to fill one out or she doesn’t, because she’s transferring from Incheon to US?
We didn’t need to fillup anything when we transferred from Incheon to our flight to LA, when we checked in at our first flight in Manila, they already provided all our boarding passes (boarding passes for Manila to Incheon flight and also boarding passes for our Incheon to Los Angeles flight). The only challenge I see for your mother is transferring from arrival in Incheon to the connecting flight, we suggest you instruct her to ask assistance from ground staff to bring her to the transfer counter as Incheon airport is quite huge and might not be as easy to navigate for a solo traveler elder person. We only did a transfer plane po in Incheon which was under 2 hours long, no covid test or proof of vaccine was required we only had to show our passport and Incheon to LA boarding pass. (You will be issued 2 sets of boarding passes when you check in at NAIA KoreanAirline staff, 1 boarding pass for Manila to Incheon and 1 boarding pass for Incheon to SFO flight). No PCR test no antigen required po but you need to show proof that you are fully vaccinated (at least 2 shots) to enter the US, sa NAIA pa lang po they (KoreanAir groundstaff) will ask for vaccine proof upon check in. Kids did not need to be vaccinated.
If you have proof of being double vaccinated no need insurance cover. But, if you ask us for our opinion, we suggest if you can afford it (not a financial advice) to just get a travel insurance cover because the pros outweigh the cons and it puts you in a safe position when you travel where there is some risks and possibilities for medical emergencies, travel emergencies, theft and etc which could be out of your control. Also, hospital is very expensive in the US so insurance can you protect yourself from possible expensive hospitalisation costs just incase. Also, in our experience, our relative who was travelling with us on Philippine passport was asked many questions at the NAIA outbound customs check and they asked if he had insurance cover, only after he showed our insurance policy did they let him proceed. We also believe that if you can’t afford travel insurance, you can not afford to travel (as tourist). That’s our take on this. Hopefully you have a hassle free customs check at NAIA and all the best to your travels.
Hi Jen, depends on your final destination but mostly I think a traveler has to be double vaxxed or with 1 booster, plus still needs to wear masks on board unless eating or drinking. We took a Korean air flight with Los Angeles as our destination so had to follow US arrival health protocols. Hope this helps, good luck and all the best!
