I don't know how far he got, but his gear choices other than his weird axe were better than the other contestants.'
Particularly his choice in saw. Everyone went with silkies but he went with a drywood bowsaw. Anyone in the cold north who has ever cut any wood knows a bowsaw > silky, for a myriad of reasons. Sad to see people just pick what the hype train is or what influencers tell them to use.

Ok, I'm guessing every contestant gets a Pelican case for emergency stuff?? lol I'm not knocking it but I wish I knew for sure because it has made me wonder how did Juan get a hold of a big pelican case like that? That wasn't found on land.
The pelican case has all the camera gear and batteries and first aid kit in it
It's been pretty clear since season 1 that all contestant get a case like that. It's for the camera gear and stuff
